If I knew how to make memes I'd have Berube as a puppeteer working 2 blind refs.

well yea, if you pause it at that split second where you can stare at what's happening. It was happening fast.. and the 3 players were in the ref's line of sight, all 3 moving, as the ref is moving. I can see how he missed it.
- MartysBetter88

That's why the back referee exists.

Listen, I'm from NY...I am 150% for totally (frank)ing every Boston fan and team out of everything possible (especially glove was stuck )...but that was brutal

FFS really... directly caused a goal. That's a brutal missed call in the same way it was brutal when SJ hand pass won them the game vs STL.

Officiating is garbage, all around, it's garbage.

what's the old Brady bunch expression....

"Marsha Marsha Marsha"... or something like that....

K A R M A ...

isn't it poetic that it was Bozak - the former Leaf....

should be entertaining to hear about the flooding in Boston... after all the salty tears land...

oppsss, so sorry Bruins fans. Its a shame that the Blues stole a page from the Brad Marchand scumbag player of the decade book. Live with it!

I have to start by saying I hate the Bruins, and am happy so see a bad non-call go against them for a change.

Always liked Bozak as a Leaf, and do not believe for one second it was an intended slew foot.

But that was a penalty, and I don't even see any embellishment on it.

I see a guy have a foot knocked out from under him unexpectedly, thus lost his balance. Before he could adjust for it the other skate just shot out from under him. Anyone who has played hockey before, regardless of the level, has had a moment like this....where you lose your balance on the one skate supporting you and before you know it it rockets out from under you and you are on your a$$ looking at the lights. Rare in the NHL I know, but not unheard of.

It's just nice to see Bruins fans whine about a non-call for once.

Since they've been getting away with pretty much everything all playoffs.

Oh it was a missed call alright..but you know what....I'm ok with it.....how many missed calls have the Bruins had go their way...Checks to the head, punches to the head, tripping the goalie after the whistle or Krug's 200 foot charge....Even in the first series with the leafs I recall the Bruins getting away with so many non-calls. Remember the lovely elbow from Debrusk?? Well this one didn't go your way and it cost you much like the other teams before this game..So suck it up.

100% agreement.
Bozak definitely not the top to slew foot someone intentionally.

How long will Kadri be suspended for Bozak's trip now considered "first degree murder"?

I say we drop the transgressions of the past, and look past even the last game, and focus on something else.

Like your 2019 Stanley cup champs St Louis Blues.

I, for one, feel they are very deserving.

It was a penalty.

I do think he was trying to sell it as well.

His right leg didn't even appear to be hit and he flung it up and almost kicked himself in the face.

And I don't buy anyone saying he didn't know it was coming. He saw him coming and turned his back hoping for a penalty.

Acciari is a relative new kid on the block EVEN though he plays for Jeremy The Godfather Jacobs' Bruins. So Noel doesn't necessarily get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. Just remember. The NHL is FULL of gigantic egoes, including the refs and media. Bettman will be threatening refs' jobs behind closed doors before Game 6. Regardless, it's nice to see the Bruins get screwed by a bad call in such a big game AND in Boston.😊😊😊😊

What's really funny is that the Leaf fans are twisting this to involve themselves somehow.

They don't even remember/know that they're supposed to hate the Blues and the Bruins, in that order.
Millennials know nothing of the Chuck Norris Division.
If the Blues win, this will somehow vindicate Leaf fans for all the years of eating dog chit.
Lololololzzzzzzzzzz.

This is what you should do...

1) Get a video recorder
2) Get a friend who can record
3) Stand with both knees bent slightly
4) Lift left leg off the ground and extend leg forward
5) Get a 2nd friend to push you as hard as possible in the chest and have him tell you when he is about to do it

Now let's watch the video and see what your right leg does...

If it is what is going to happen, there should be plenty of NHL video with a player almost kicking himself in the face. I haven't seen it.

I can't agree with you on this one, Ek. I felt it was tripping on both the live look and on the replays. I just don't see embellishment here at all, especially with Acciari's head appearing to bounce off the ice the way it did. It should have been a penalty, no question.

I don’t have a horse in this race, as a neutral fan who has just wanted to see the two top teams play hockey, I’ve found myself wanting the Bruins to start head hunting, knee diving, slew footing, play with an intent to injure because this Blues team has done exactly that and been brazen enough to laugh about it and admit as much. Sundqvist’s quote made me sick.
Tough guy going after 5’7”—5’8” Matt Grz when his back is to you. Coward. If the Blues won I hope half of them aren’t capable of making it through hand shakes let alone strong enough to lift it and do the lap.
And the refs all playoffs long have been reminiscent of a Pete Rose Managed Baseball team with a 3 run lead but a 3.5 point spread. Ought to be ashamed embarrassing the sport on its biggest stage.

So you are telling me that once Acciari knew he was being tripped, falling backwards and left leg in the air his instinct within a millisecond was to kick his right leg as high as possible to sell it?

That's as bad as someone stepping in front of a bus going 60 because they want to make sure the bus stops.
