I graduated from HS in 1979, so Meatloaf is right in my wheelbase.
Paradise by the Dashboard Light 1977 - his biggest hit I think
I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) 1993
Two Out of Three Ain't Bad 1977 - my favorite of his, a great breakup song
Bat out of Hell 1977, was a pretty solid album. - scottak
The Meat (Mr. Loaf) also sang most of the vocals on Ted Nugent's Free-For-All album. Got paid a whopping $1000 for it. |

Plus he was awesome in Fight Club (his name is Robert Paulsen). |

The more you know about Ted Nugent, the less you like him.
I try to avoid the reality of Ted Nugent by humming “Great White Buffalo” anytime I’m confronted with it. |

Not saying that I am a Blues fan, but it sure is fun to see a a bully get punched in the face. Hats off to St. Louis for hanging in and going toe to toe with the Bruins. That team looked dead in the water at one point this year and they are now one win away from the Cup. Good stuff. |

I posit getting rid of Yeo had as much of a positive impact on that club as hiring Berube to replace him. BOTH were ++ moves. |

If the Hawks or any other team got lucky enough to have the 13th, 14th, and 15th pick this draft like the Bruins did in 2015, they could pick Broberg, Newhook, and Knight.
The way draft rankings are fluctuating, Krebs or Boldy could be had, too. Maybe Harley, Lavoie, or Kaliyev as decent considerations. |

Don't understand everyone's opinion of the Bruins .
The Bruins players have received a ton of cheap shots .
I would say the Blues play a much more nasty game then the Bruins.
Perron has to be one of the biggest douche bags out there.

“Like a bat outta hell I’ll be gone when the morning comes..
When the night is over like a bat outta hell I’ll be gone, gone, gone!”
“Streets of Fire” is a great movie with a soundtrack by Meatloaf for those (oldheads) interested. |

Both teams have turned their douche dial to eleven. Slew footing, pulling a skate, "finishing checks" with forearms in the face. I don't know, i'm finding it pretty entertaining. |

Maybe by series end Perron will be black and blue like he had just played in a Bears division grueling black and blue storied game. Storied game for the true Blue Perron. He returned again to St Louis.and he.mighy.get to taste champaign out of The Holy Grail. And i didn't think St Louis would win the.series. Still might not. But i kind of like the Blues winning since the Bruins are like a bully who gets punched in the face, according to a blogger today. Great line.
Here is a line I came up with late in last blog:
The Blackhawks have more options with the #3 pick than Trubinsky does on third down.
Will Kelly and Bowman call an audible at last second? I am starting to believe that the top two picks are whom has been projected all along. A big if they would be pleased with.Cozens or Byram do they gamble one of them is there at #5? Ok, or the prospect you fancy.
The gamble is also to get the #22 and package with Gus so that they can go a couple different routes:
* draft McKnight or the other touted goaltender
* draft another player they really like. But prospects i like by mid first round should be scooped up already. Which means the goaltender is probably available. Trading or signing proven good NHL goaltenders is an unlikely event so therefore increase your stable of goaltrnders whom have a bright future. Not Dellia..Laakinen? Gravel and McKnight? |

Looking back at some of these drafts, I remind myself that everyone involved is human and made some mistakes. I just hope the Blackhawks have a good process to learn from their bad picks or mistakes. Like the players, the GM, the Scouts, the staff should be developing over time from the experience. |

I know everyone loves the higher intensity of the playoffs (and I do as well), but in my opinion the actual hockey in this series is kinda crap. So much interference, clutching and grabbing, and the dirty stuff that doesn't get called. I'm not trying to be a purist, but the league does all this work to make the regular season more exciting with high paced and skilled hockey, and as soon as the playoffs hit, they let all the crap that people complained about back in.
Sorry for being whiny on a Friday, but it's just irritating.

Most fans I talk to agree with you. It should be consistent from regular season to playoffs with one set of guidelines on calls. Game 1 to the finals. I know the intensity level and tension are higher, so it might still vary a bit, but there is an obvious difference in their ability to keep it under control. |

each generation ... music is in the ear of the "behearer", so to speak. I think Meatloaf is appreciated more by the generation after mine (ours?). Dr. John is from my generation although I can't say he was one of my favorites.

Don't apologize. You're right. The league incorrectly calls the playoffs differently then the regular season. I'm just finding it entertaining since both teams want to play this way and it's turning into more of a survivor series. |

And here's a big reason why...
. “I’m told Mark Kelley, the Hawks’ director of amateur scouting, is a big fan of the USA players. I won’t say not fond of the Canadian players, but leans toward American-born players." - Logan Reilly
Oh really Reilly (sorry just popped in my head I had to let it out)!
The last two drafts four of 16 picks came from the States, two in the 3rd round, one in the 5th round, and one in the 7th round.
