I’m borderline okay with it.
The NHL draft is tricky .... a team might go off the board and pick a later ranked player. So who really knows who will be at 7. - Sabretooth9
That happens almost every year in the Top10
Actually happened 3xs last draft
Twice in the top5 |

Pool pros - My inline chlorinator channel (the piece with the little ball that stops solids from flowing into the line) keeps getting gummed up like once a month. Is there a good way to clean these out so I don't have to keep buying them? I heard lemon juice is effective to dissolve the gummed on chlorine. Thanks. - TheSabresTaco
Try vinegar too...or acetic acid if you can get it (vinegar is acetic acid, just a mild form)....If you find acetic acid, be very very careful...it will burn you.... |

Risto to NJ for Zacha, Vantanen and their 2nd round pick. Saw it proposed on Capfriendly by NJ. I would be all over that trade. - Mentalorgasm5
Vantanen is made of glass and Zacha looks like a bust. Hard pass on that. |

Ah yes, because some of the top guys blocking shots are not good. Seabrook, Trouba, Parayko, McDonagh John Carlsson must be the worst. - adambuffalo
All of those guys excel in other areas of the game...Risto does not except PP points

I saw talk earlier about trying to trade up from 7. I really don't see any chance of that being an option. NJ is not going to trade out of #1. NYR, Colorado and LA all have two 1st round picks already with all of their second picks being higher than ours, we would probably have to add something more significant. That leaves Chicago at 3 (unfortunately I don't see them passing on hometown boy Turcotte) and Detroit at 6. At that spot I don't see making a move unless they have fallen in love with one guy who they think Detroit wants (I see them possibly taking Podz at 6.), so between 6 or 7 you are going to get a comparable player depending on your need. |

I agree with this, I also don't see that one guy that is worth moving up for outside of the top 3 assuming Turcotte goes at 3.
If anything I would try to move up from 30 or 31 to the teens and get 2 players that could make a push to make the team in a year or two. |

He is still the best dman on the team until Dahlin passes him. One of the only players we have with any toughness. Seems he is the easy target for people to go after, but let's not acknowledge the fact that we traded away our only forward who would help out in the Dzone and the fact that Risto has to constantly overcompensate because others don't know how or don't care to play defense.
I don't recall who posted it, but Risto also had to make the furthest outlet passes out of anyone, because when he did get the puck everyone would just dart (or jart for some of the slower guys) down the ice expecting a 100' pass every time.
Shuts down some of the biggest scorers, ie Ovie, but must not be very good.
So bad that the President Trophy team wanted to trade for him. Hedman and Risto would automatically be the best d pairing in the league. - adambuffalo
Btw Dahlin Passed him already it wasn’t close

Looking at players contracts and point totals at a glance gives people a story to go on if they don't dig and do more research.
You and I both know this
10 less points for 2.6 million less?
Sold!
But really Matthews will earn his contract easily when it is all said and done (if he can stay healthy)
Skinner needs to score 35-45 goals for at least the next 4 seasons to earn his.
I think $9 million is a little bit of an over payment, but I wouldn't let him walk for $750k per year. - Stripes77

Put any of them on this team the past few years and people would be trying to trade them for a 2C. |

Value wise: Matthews at 73 points and 11.6 million
Or skinner at 63 points and 9 million
That is a 2.6million difference for 10 points.
Matthews isn’t even the 1C on his own team.
Both are good players. So not really a big deal. - Sabretooth9
Matthews is a #1 franchise C. To spin it as anything else is silly. |

In what aspect? I saw Dahlin making a lot of mistakes especially towards the end of the season. Let's swap their zone starts. Maybe having Risto with 60% ozone starts and Dahlin having 55% dzone starts could benefit the team. Dahlin could carry the puck up the ice better rather than hoping for the 100' passes to connect. |

really? NJ pick would be pick 34. Vatanen is much better than Berglund and Sbotka, and Zacha is a much better prospect than Thompson.
And Risto is nowhere as good as O'Reilly. |

The bottom pair and the 4th line need work but something like this could be possible - Stripes77
Risto has nearly the same points as Zucker on defense. I don’t know why you’re adding nylander too. |

Zucker had 20 goals and had a down year
He had 64 points the season before
And because you're getting a 2nd rounder out of it (which you're flipping to Vegas) and Zucker is a good all around player
Out:
Risto
Nylander
In:
Zucker
Foligno

I think Olofsson projects as a LW at the NHL level. I'm sure he can play RW but it isn't ideal. Finding a pure RW would be better imo
Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Olofsson-mitts/other-new RW
Not absolutely necessary, but it would be more balanced |

Donskoi can play the Pommer role on the Eichel line and allows Sam to help Mitts.
I hope they at least talk to him |
