Okposo for Perry
STL 1st and Risto for Kessel
Nylander, Thompson, and 2020 2nd for Zucker.
Dump Scandella and Bogosian for whatever late draft picks.

Kessel is getting older ... i would try for someone younger. I wouldve loved Phil a few years ago.

He is 31. It's okay to have older talented players.

kadri, zaits, their first for risto and they can have their f@cking 6th rd pick back
- homiedclown

Or just Kadri for a 2nd

I don’t think we should trade Risto for a guy who’s lost a lot of value (Kadri) and a Cap dump (Zaitsev)
The 1st is nice, but likely in the 20s
So we’d need a better return if giving up Risto

A lot of my favorite movies are from the 60's and 70's, or even before, but I'm not an old (frank).

I think what people should be upset with, is why he dogged it for the better part of three years then plays like he’s never played before once he leaves.

And don’t give me the atmosphere/coaching/teammate angle.

He was on pace for 90 points when the Blues were 30th.

Where was that in Buffalo? I saw it once every 10 games

- sbroads24

Do u ever have a take that isn’t a gross exaggeration???

Fair enough
But I’d say you’re probably the exception
Most ppl tend to really favor things from the era they grew up in

Not sure.

I just have to laugh how ROR shoulders 0% of the blame for some people.

Jeff Skinner comes here, starts with a rookie as his center first 5 games, then is put with Eichel, is the main reason we won 10 in a row considering he had I believe 3 GWG in that stretch, is moved away from Eichel after injuries etc, never complains never gets depressed, and ends up with a career season.

Same poor coaching, same losing culture etc.

O’Reilly wanted to leave. He managed to weasel his way out. Good for him

- sbroads24

YOU SAID he couldn’t be a near ppg player
77pts in 82games

YOU SAID he wasn’t all that good defensively
And he’s a Selke finalist

YOU SAID we couldn’t build a winner with him
And he’s 1 win away from getting his name etched onto the Cup

YOU EVEN SAID “he’s having an awful playoffs”
And he’s in the running for the Conn Smythe

HOLY FREAKING SH!T

Why don’t you just take the loss?
At least admit to yourself that you were wrong about him
Then maybe u can let the hate go dude

Don’t worry, you can still pretend that:
-“Berglund is fast”
-“Sobatka is good depth”
-“Tage is an A prospect”

***you’ll have your victory when those 3 and pick31 lead us to respectability
(maybe don’t hold your breath, just in case)

Article yesterday on who would get the Conn Smythe if the Blues won.

It’s literally only Buffalo crybabies who think ROR would be the unanimous winner

- sbroads24

WOW
WAKE UP & SMELL WHAT YOU’RE SHOVELING

All from your article:
From a Western Conference rival coach:
“Binnington, (Ryan) O’Reilly — he does a lot of little things that help them win

From a Western Conference rival executive:
“(Vladimir) Tarasenko, O’Reilly, Binnington with an honourable mention to (Oscar) Sundqvist.’’

From Blues legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Bernie Federko:
“...Ryan O’Reilly has been the most consistent player all year long and certainly is always a factor

From an Eastern Conference executive:
“Binnington, O’Reilly, Tarasenko...”

From a Western Conference rival GM:
“Binnington, O’Reilly, (Alex) Pietrangelo.’’

“...O’Reilly has been outstanding, there’s a lot of guys to pick from,”
said Gretzky.

O’Reilly has been a two-way beast.”

Seriously dude
Even the evidence YOU present,
totally contradicts what you’re trying to say

Well... LITERALLY... you’re completely incorrect
The article says a bunch of times how ROR is one of the guys in the running

Also...
who is saying he’d be the “unanimous winner”?
*I’d love for you to show some quotes
But I’m sure u won’t- bc i doubt they actually exist

So it seems like 7oa was never on the table for trading, and it seems like Risto is a potential pet project for Botts/Krueger, and yet, Botterill says they want to add skill at the forward position, and trades are more likely than free agency. So what does that mean?

Guessing it means they are using picks and prospects in the trade market, targeting a cap-challdnged team, and Tier 2 or 3 UFA signing or two.

Nylander
CJ Smith
30/31
Tage
2020 2nd

I don't expect an OS from Botts, as his 2020 3rd is gone already which eliminates him from the $2.1m-$4.2m range...for guys like Andrea's Johnsson, Kapanen, etc.

The Outlaw Josey Wales is a great movie.

Grumpy Old Men is a very funny movie.

I've seen Tage Thompson's name come up in here as a possible piece added to a trade. Do you really think Botts is going to trade the one promising (?) player obtained in the ROR trade ? The only way to make that trade even worse-looking than it already is would be to trade Tage a season later. No way that is happening - Tage is here for a while.

Effective May2019 that range requires a 2d as compensation. We have the 2d, and should offer on Johnsson
