Okposo for Perry
STL 1st and Risto for Kessel
Nylander, Thompson, and 2020 2nd for Zucker.
Dump Scandella and Bogosian for whatever late draft picks. - Mentalorgasm5
Okposo for Perry - sure why not
1st and Risto for Kessel - overpayment for a cap strapped team
Zucker doesn’t bring enough impact to empty the prospect pool for. Fenton wants a roster change, try roster players
Dumping Scandella sure, Bogo, for some reason the organization likes him. |

I said the Sabres will trade for zucker and Kessel a few days ago. I must have a source like 39 - Mentalorgasm5
Obviously 39 had to have some type of source he was the only one that said he was signed an hour before the report |

I'm actually starting to think we should hold on like 2020 2nd and RFA one of Torontos wingers for 2nd round compensation |

YOU SAID he couldn’t be a near ppg player
77pts in 82games
YOU SAID he wasn’t all that good defensively
And he’s a Selke finalist
YOU SAID we couldn’t build a winner with him
And he’s 1 win away from getting his name etched onto the Cup
YOU EVEN SAID “he’s having an awful playoffs”
And he’s in the running for the Conn Smythe
HOLY FREAKING SH!T
Why don’t you just take the loss?
At least admit to yourself that you were wrong about him
Then maybe u can let the hate go dude
Don’t worry, you can still pretend that:
-“Berglund is fast”
-“Sobatka is good depth”
-“Tage is an A prospect”
***you’ll have your victory when those 3 and pick31 lead us to respectability
(maybe don’t hold your breath, just in case)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 - jdfitz77
Yeah I never once said any of this.

I've seen Tage Thompson's name come up in here as a possible piece added to a trade. Do you really think Botts is going to trade the one promising (?) player obtained in the ROR trade ? The only way to make that trade even worse-looking than it already is would be to trade Tage a season later. No way that is happening - Tage is here for a while. - kritter65
Certainly your perspective could be right.
Depends on his evaluation of Tage, obviously.
If you have seen other posts about dumping Tage, it certainly needs to be considered an option.
I would hope a GM would have an open mind and prioritize the needs of the club before worrying about how the trade looks...especially this trade as it is already a collosal loss in terms of players swapped. If the value is there to trade him in a package for a middle 6 player now, move him. Maximize your assets, take the emotion out.
From my perspective, Tage is at least a year away, maybe more from earning a position on the roster...yet I'll give you he plays well in the AHL. He has alot to work on to make the jump back up as a productive player. Time will tell...but I don't see him getting there. If he stays, I hope he develops into a 2nd or 3rd liner. |

Do u ever have a take that isn’t a gross exaggeration??? - jdfitz77
Do you have a retort which isn’t a complete exaggeration of what I’ve previously said.
I’ll repeat it once more for the millionth time
I do not care what ROR does in 2018-2019.
The trade of O’Reilly was a long term trade. Not short term.
I’ve said a hundred times I didn’t expect us to “replace” him immediately.
What I did say, is that the Sabres would probably get better scoring 5 on 5.
Guess what, we did. And we would’ve had a 80+ point season with average goaltending |

Kapanen is who they should target but
1. you need to get the player to sign a contract here
2. if you sign him for 4 mil per, a second rd pick, your doing the leafs a favor as they would match it
so is Kapanen worth 5.5 per? That is the price where the leafs will have to decide to match or not to match
comp is a first and a third
I firmly believe if no offer sheets are signed this off season, there may never be an offer sheet signed in the near future |

I don’t think the ducks would do this
They be better off eating 4m for two years and then being free |

Some can't see the difference in
A) projecting the details of the Contract and forecasting when it is expected to get done...then adding a caveat it could go to FA as an option if not
B) calling it a done deal with specifics nailed.
Let it go, 39 nailed it. |

We only save 4 million over the course of the buyout. Trade him and pick 31 to a team. |

Wow, listening to podcast from last week with Chuck Fletcher, GM Philly.
He states at 11, he expects to get a prospect who is rated in the 5-8 range if most prospect rankings.
Couple that with a Mock Draft from Fisher at The Hockey Writers that had several surprise selections, including the Sabers with Broberg at 7.
Could be interesting |

So many damn players I want this year; caufield, Krebs, newhook, and Kaliyev.
