Depends.
O’Reilly has been excellent the last three games and Tarasenko has been a ghost. Same with Schwartz.
I could see O’Reilly getting it easily.
But Rask deserves it regardless of who wins - sbroads24
Tarasenko scores goals though and I was told they are worth 2x more then assists. ROR shouldn’t even be on the ballot cause he had 1 goal in 16 games until he woke up 2 games ago |

Did u see all the quotes from your article about him being in the running for the Conn Smythe trophy this year?
But sure... “he’s had an awful playoffs”
Way to make yourself look stupid - jdfitz77
You realize that we had that conversation before the series started or after game 1.
And since that point he’s been really good. And that article was after game 5 when he had his two best games of the playoffs.
Like you get how time works, right?

Tell us all again how secondary assists are = to goals scored
Literally zero ppl agree with you on this

Did you watch the telecast tonight?
Did you hear them talk about his rough Dallas series and rough series against SJ until game 6?
Or do you still think I was just making it up out of thin air? - sbroads24
Did you see/hear the part when the announcer said " the con smythe trophy doesn't necessarily have to go to the winning teams best player" as the camera panned to ror and his 4 goals and 3 assists in 6 final games was mentioned.

ROR has been the best player on either team the last 3 games, but was the symbol of criticism the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. |

All I’ve said is that the trade was never about this season. I fully expect ROR’s production to dip significantly once he hits the age of 30. I’ve also defended the fact that Tage isn’t a complete write off yet. None of those statements have to do with his play this year. - Pegullaville
This is actually a good post. ROR will likely have 2-3 years of amazing play but his style will wear on him. The last 3 years will be a big big handcuff. But STL has a window obviously. |

Good grief

Still waiting for u to quote all the

I’m aware of this. He is not.
The best part is he will blatantly ignore where we’re saying he’s been really good lately.

Who said anything about secondary assists ? You know primary assists count as well when considering point totals right ? We just paid a guy who averages just over 50 points a year $9M AAV. I like Skinner but realistically he should be making $7.5-$8M a year. |

I think this is his Mount Everest.
He will be 29 next year with 800+ games under his belt and he isn’t the best natural athlete out there.
I think by 30-31 he will be rapidly declining |

Isnt this year 4 out if 7 of his contract for ror?
So he will be amazing for the remaining 3 years, seems like all st. Louis could ask for? |

And secondary assist count as much as promary & goals
According to you, they’re all of equal value

St. Louis is a win away from not needing to care what happens over the next three years.
Worked out perfect for them |

People forget the fact that St.Louis has been building towards this for the last 10 years. They signed Perron, Bozak, Maroon, and added Thomas to the lineup. The trade for ROR was the final piece and it still took vezina caliber goaltending and a Jack Adams candidate behind the bench to get to this point.
By the time the Sabres have the d-corps that the Blues trot out every night, vezina goaltending, depth scoring and playoff experience, ROR would have been useless to us. |

Maybe but Skinner has a better G/60 than Kucherov, Tkachuk, Hertl, P Kane, Guentzel, Tarasenko, and Marchand.

Joe Flacco's cap hit is 18.5 million
Flacco should realistically be making $7.5-$8M a year.
You do understand that the Sabres were backed into a corner with skinner right? It's done. |

Dude, you really take it personally with him.
Like are you a personal friend or family member? I’m not joking I’m seriously asking because I’ll stop making jokes.
A friend of mine is a buddy of his from his time here.
He’s always said the dude is a great guy.
I didn’t like his persona and I didn’t like how he played here 50-% of the time.
I’ll drop it (like he dropped that breakaway) |

I care about point totals. Goals certainly have value over assists but not as much as people make them out to be. Not once did I say secondary assists are more valuable then goals. If assists are so easy to come by why does Skinner average 23 assists a season ? The guy is an elite goal scorer due to the fact that every time the puck is on his stick it’s directed towards the net. If Skinner doesn’t get at least 35 goals a year he will be vastly overpaid, unless the guy learns any sort of playmaking ability or two way play over the summer. |
