Maybe but Skinner has a better G/60 than Kucherov, Tkachuk, Hertl, P Kane, Guentzel, Tarasenko, and Marchand.
- JVince11

Marchand puts up 100 points though and is a 3 zone player. Kucherov almost lapped Skinner’s point totals this year. P.Kane is the greatest American hockey player ever and drives his own line and is just as lethal a playmaker as he is a goal scorer. Tarasenko is also one dimensional but I’d take him over Skinner. Guentzel and Skinner are in the same boat yet one is making 3M more then the other.

Isnt this year 4 out if 7 of his contract for ror?

So he will be amazing for the remaining 3 years, seems like all st. Louis could ask for?

- Boss34

No. He has 4 more years after this one at 7.5.

I think next year he does about 60-65 down from 77. Then will be a 35-55 the rest of the time max.

STL is pretty well set to restart at that point. Parayko 5.5 contract done in 3. and Tarasenko 7.5 done that same year as ROR.

Piets only has 1 more year. Who knows what he will be worth. 10+ easily.

Binnington is an RFA after this season. Schenn is UFA next year and Dunn a RFA next year as well

I don’t disagree with anything you said.

We paid Skinner what we did because he scored goals. I was just showing at what clip and comparative to who he does that.

What a ridiculous comparison

1) Guentzel signed his deal a year and a half ago

2) he was an RFA & Skinner a UFA

Still waiting???

Who said ROR was gonna be the unanimous MVP?
Or was it just more typical Broads exaggeration?

It’s ok

“Based on the reaction here at Cup final, I was kind to #Sabres for Skinner contract. To me, they had no choice. You pay your top guys. But I can tell you they’re getting laughed out of the building here for giving $9 million per year to him. We’ll see.”- Mike Harrington.

Although I think Harrington is an idiot, the whole world knows Skinner was overpaid.

Does anyone not think we overpaid?

I think it’s universally agreed we did.

Or is that an exaggeration?

Ha! Good movie reference

But no, I’m not mad at him
My dad knew Berglund was slow too
Bc he actually watches hockey instead of just reading stat lines

Hopefully we aren’t on it
He’s a goal scorer, and he can fly
I think he’d be a good fit

EDIT
I’m a little concerned about his playoff performance
Last 3 trips:
5games- 0ptd
5games- 1goal
6games- 2assists

Could this be why Minny is looking to move him?
I was wondering why they don’t want him anymore

So did Skinner

Have Botts call him and say how does playing on a line with Skinner and Eichel sound?

you can pluck 1 or 2 from tampa
leafs are gonna have to move 1 or 2 lesser guys
nyquist is a free agent, maybe
zuccarello

I like Marcus Johansson, Donskoi or Brett Connolly as free agents up front

Dzingel and Ferland are gonna get overpaid big time IMO

It wouldn't be a sexy signing, but Colin Wilson on a 1 year deal for the 4th line could be possible.

To those interested in HB Mock Draft,
An updated Trade Proposal -Posted: Sunday @ 11:18 PM ET
To Buffalo
-4OA
-Compher
-*Rights to Brassard (*conditional 2020 2nd if he does not resign)

To Avs

-7OA
-30/31OA
-Nylander

The 4-OA would be A Turcotte as he checks-off most of the boxes the Survey identified as a profile for Sabres pick at 7th.
- Center, #1 position of need
- Attributes, 3 highest ... Sniper, Skating, 200' Game (maybe not the "sniper", but scores and drives play)
- Ranking, 3rd

Of course, we give up
-7 &30/31 for 4th, a 12% premium according to Schucker's NHL Draft Value chart
(900 pts given, versus 800 received). I'm ok with that.
-Nylander, but we get JT Compher back!

Both fulfill the Tough to Play Against desire by Bitts and Ralphie-boy

Brassard is a throw-in, if he signs, great..could be a guy to package in a trade (little value now I'm sure)

I'm taking the deal!
