I like Wayne Simmonds, just looks like at times the game has passed him by. Good hard nosed player.
- SABRES 89

Loved him over the years
But yeah, he looks done unfortunately
No interest in overpaying him for multiple years to watch him continue to break down

I like Simmonds too.

I'm sure the market is a little worried about his falling off point.

Sabres need to pay a bit more, maybe add 3 years, hopefully not 4?

He would be very popular in buffalo

If nothing else, it gives a sense of what the market value for the pair of McCabe and that first might bring. It was actually the Hawks blogger who put that together when I mentioned McCabe
- jcragcrumple

The market value set by a blogger and a Hockeybuzz poster, you mean.

What?
F#ck no!
He’s a 20-ish goal scorer, which is nice
But 6mil Cap hit

No 1st round pick, no way

More like McCabe & a 3rd (at most),
but i wouldn’t do it for anything other than straight up
And I’d also explore many other options before i got to that

- jdfitz77

Saad, Mittelstadt and Reinhart would be a solid 2nd line imo

Good grief

You think he’s got 3 years left in him?
He’s already dropped off quite a bit
I’d stay away

An outsider's perspective, I guess, from the Hawks blogger

And absolutely not using 30/31 to get him
No way

If he takes a 1 year deal sure he would be good for the locker room and can chip in a few goals, but I agree he is done long term

Who's talking politics?

I'm merely pointing out hypocrisy and double standards.. something I'm confident you're not familiar with.

Don't forget to run to the mods if this gets too heavy.

Perry Buyout per Capfriendly

'19-'20 - $2.62

'20- $6.6 ------ That's a doozy

'21 - $2m

'22 - 2m

I can't figure out how to retain salary and then buyout Okposo, so I'm not really sure.

- jcragcrumple

Buffalo would be on the hook for a 6th of the buyout (retaining 1 mil of the 6 mil).

I'd like to get Staal out of Minny (2 years left and decent salary) and also think Donskoi would be a good fit.

Really hope we hang on to pick 30 and get Spencer Knight.

Doesn't count as drinking if you're eating a popsicle

Same applies to rum ham
