He’s gone from a 30-ish goal scorer to a 20-ish goal scorer in a few seasons

Clearly, the guy has enough wear & tear on him that he’s started declining

What deal would u realistically offer him that he’d accept to come here?

I've always liked Simmonds, but 3 years is no bueno. If that's the cost of doing business, I'm out. Someone will likely offer 3/$12 or even 3/$15. We all know July 1 is insanity.
