That's fair. As far as what I want for a 2C, and I think it's pretty fair to require, a guy who can play all situations at a good level, be able to reliably take dzone draws and minutes without being a liability. Turris has always, in his entire career, been that liability. Even during his best seasons.

Nashville will almost certainly try to trade Turris. I am genuinely curious to see the return.

But his contract only has 1 year left. It's the same as a Callahan contract.

It is MUCH easier to get a team to take on salary when there isn't term left on a deal.

Figures, what a joke.

I was just messing around with the Sabres for the beginning of the 2020-2021 season on Capfriendly... the whole team is gutted besides Skinner, Eichel, Dahlin, Risto, and Hutton.

Every other player is a RFA or UFA.

So I started signing players back like Mitts (3M), Montour (4.5M), Sam (6.75M), McCabe (2.5M), VO (1.3M), Smith (1.3M), Tage (1.7M), Pilut (1.3M), & JJ (850k).

And I'm looking at the cap figure and it said that I only had 2M left already.. and I was VERY confused. Then I realized I accidentally signed McCabe for 22.5M instead of 2.5M... and I still had an extra 2M in cap space.

That's HOW FRICKEN much cap room we will have next year. Keeping all of our RFA/UFAs I outlined and no other moves... we would still have 23M in cap space.
