No names were given. The person with the Sabres told him that he will want to renew his tickets. All he said was a big trade with multiple teams involving 7 or so players. Sounds extremely far fetched but the person really has zero reason to want to tell me this so that’s why it is interesting to me.
- soljor09

That would be interesting! 7 players is a huge trade.

My guess it is Risto related. Who else are the Sabres getting 2 or 3 pieces back in return?

No, she is the owner, the GM and the coach. She also plays left field for the A's.

Dawn is a skating coach, who was actually blamed for a portion of our problems on this very website.

I blame Gary Roberts and his summer training program for making us think coho would improve

so when do you all think I will get the call from the Sabres ticket office telling me that I am eligible to get season tickets, I am on the blue and gold waiting list...

Interested to hear who they pick as their other assistant coach (or two). It sounds like Smith is staying.

And Krueger said they received applications from some "unexpected" candidates. That's intriguing.

"This is the trade I pulled off in NHL 19 GM Mode... This is the kind of franchise altering scouting I bring to the franchise. Please... look at my 7 year dynasty I made in the game. I was able to get DeBrincat, MacKinnon, Eichel, Seguin, AND OEL on my team. We have gone 378-2-1 over my time as GM"

What number are you? We had to renew by today, so I would assume it will be soon if your number is close.

Rogers is having a meltdown over this years TV numbers in Canada, particularly the playoffs. It's hard to say with a new CBA on the horizon, but unless the product changes dramatically I don't think it becomes less of one. It's still what the fourth most popular TV click in the US behind football, baseball and basketball?

And it fell behind a cooking show in Canada when all the Canadian teams were gone.

Queue up the the theories which suspect deals made behind closed doors; from officiating to the draft, in order to drive more success for Canadian teams

I want to change the topic.

The major conversation in the NBA right now (other than Kevin Durant might miss an entire year of basketball) is "load management", especially after Kawhi Leonard coming out and saying that the reason he is so effective this year is that he took 22 games off.

...

- buffalofan19

I think it's inevitable at some point. And I would be righteously pissed if I paid full freight for a game minus the superstars(them being given the night off, injuries are a different story).

The house cleaning has started with the Sabres' coaching staff. According to the staff listing, Davis Payne, Chris Hajt and Andrew Allen are out.
This lends additional credence to the rumors that goalie coach Mike Bales could be on his way.

Damn for you, too bad Skinner signed...if he had held on for a few more days, you might have been a shoe-in. Having him walk might have caused a revolt

Hockey players more or less do wind sprints for 35-35 minute shifts (not universally true, but largely)

NBA players trot or walk the ball upcourt. (Also largely).

I meant to say 35 - 45 SECOND shifts, not 35 - 35 minute shifts.

What a dumb ass I am.

One of things Tasker proposed is that QBs would be exempt. Or 2-3 players per team.

People would still do fantasy either way. it's the same as fantasy basketball which has teams sit players

- jcragcrumple

Not really, it's much less of an impact, an NBA player is only sitting for 25%-33% of the week, an NFL player sits for 100% of the week.

Seriously, wonder what's up with our man Paches?

It is taking him a very long time to construct that blog of epic proportions about Taylor Leier.
Must be digging very deep.

Idk how you could want Turris with that awful contract???
5 more years @ 6mil per = YUCK
Especially with what a rough season he just had
7g-16a-23pts in 55gqmes
Over 82games, that’s only 10g-24a-34pts

Meanwhile, you didn’t want Compher
Last year,
66gp: 16g-16a-32pts (20-20-40pts pace for 82gp)
And that was his 2nd season,
so he could conceivably get better

Maybe Turris can bounce back,
but with that contract there’s absolutely NO WAY we should risk that

Especially having Mitts who will be the 2C soon enough
