Considering that there are people in here who think acquiring Lucic is a good idea, not far behind.

Go read the Edmonton blog. They seem to be under the impression they’re not really going to have to add to the supposed trade, and if anything vancouver is coming from a weaker position because we want Lucic.

It definitely sounds like Lucic is more than willing to come to Van. It's LE who is doubtful of waiving to go to Flat Earth Alberta.

Wade Redden was the only player with a huge contract that I can remember being buried in the AHL. Even though it can be used as a tool to manage rosters, I don’t think it happens very often because it pisses the PA off and may effect how a team signs free agents.
