They have us drafting a defenseman, wich is very likely. With others teams going mostly with forwards, a pretty good defenseman should be there when Mtl picks.

Well we know they won't be drafting a C... with Ph-elite Danault playing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line C for the next 25 years in Montreal, the extension will be announced shortly, should come in at around 15 million per! It's also believed Danault will be the backup goalie as well, the guy is just that damn good!

In fariness he can't be any worse then some of the backup tending we saw last season. Carey better be training to play 82 plus 16-28 in the playoffs

I'm all for drafting BPA, but that could be a defenseman. Just have to pick the right one.

And if you can get a defenseman on the trade market with that pick, Bergevin has to think about it.

But another prospect in the pipeline would be nice.

If it's the pick they use to get a D, that D needs to be fairly young

Sure.

I just dont think the packages you are throwing around would get that defenseman you are looking for.

And don't forget that Tinordi and Beaulieu were first round picks, among others.

I'm not advocating any specific package but within the group of players I keep saying should be available to move, theres a trade for a D in there somewhere, no doubt... and that's excluding Danault & Drouin

Cam York said that the Habs seemed to be the most interested team. I'm 90% sure they'll go for a defenseman.

Yea but were looking for a good D, not some shriveled up one that only ever plays in his own end
