So Leddy for Tatar?

Anyone think that's a good idea?

That's a 👎 for me!

- obie

I like Tatar but do you even keep him 2 years from now when he becomes a UFA? Far from sure.

Leddy would buy us time untill Romanov is ready (if he ever is). +, people were female doging about Mete in here not long ago, so there is that.

Ideally you would find a way to add Leddy and keep Tatar, along with Duchene and Karlsson

I for one would not trade Ryan Poehler, this kind of determination is rare to find

I don't think you get Leddy for Byron. I think you get him with Tatar.

No doubt you get him with Tatar, that's why it would be a bad idea... I bet you could get Leddy with Gallagher too but that ain't gonna happen...

And if Byron + Fleury + a 2nd doesn't get you Leddy, you move on to the next guy

Byron, Shaw, Lehkonen and Armia should be the F made available for a D upgrade... you can spice up the offer using some picks and certain prospects

And somehow half the time you guys accuse me of overpaying....

Now, do I believe Tatar for Leddy is fair value? Absolutely
Do I think it would be a good idea? Nope, Habs don't have enough real top 6 guys to do that... filling a hole and creating another one without really moving the needle at all.... I'd rather resign Benn for 2 years to buy time instead of trading Tatar.

Now if Tatar was part of a bigger package that was to bring in a younger D that the team could control for quite some time, that would be a different story

Ryan Murray is one of the few on that list I like the idea of and also think he'd be relatively inexpensive to get, but he is injured often which is why he'd be less expensive. A lot of flawed options out there.

Paying up for a guy like Ghost-bear who is rumoured available may be the best option...but it won't be cheap

Like I'd said, a lot of flawed options in there. Paying up for Ghost-bear may make the most sense. Heck, playing EK on his offside still makes a lot of sense in my eyes if he truly wants to come
