Real friendly and handsy - CanuckDon
Oh I love when women are handsy.
It’s weird that much of the metoo movement is about inappropriate contact and yet I’m super ok with women being handsy/touchy with me. |

The same way the Canucks deal with edler’s 52+ games lost to injury over the past three seasons. You spread it out and do the best you can. That’s how this team finds their Huttons and Stechers, etc. It gives you a chance to play your depth/youth.
I think the cons outweigh the pros. |

Lets say Edler walks & Tanev gets injured like usual what is left?

Hutton Stetcher
Sautner Schenn

I’d go all in for Panarin for starters. When that falls through then OS Trouba 7/8m. Lose a 1st/3rd. Maybe Gardiner is another add idk.
Hughes Trouba a nice top pairing.
The hunt for a top 6 winger is still needed. |

Yup, and it will put us in draft lottery position again. |

If that’s the plan so be it. Beats being rash & making mistakes to keep JB’s job. |

JBs job is safe as long as he drafts well. Every time he signs a UFA or trades for a player his job security becomes less secure. |

If we don't resign Edler, I guarantee JB picks up at least one free agent D.
I think that'll piss off people more than Edler not signing.

If I was him I would stay clear of trades unless it’s for draft picks. At least if the eventual pick is a non factor, owners can live with that. What they can’t live with is when contracts are handed out like LEs.
UFA signings and player for player trades are way too risky if his job is on thin ice. JBs position will be stronger once he builds his youth core. Then he can start dabbling in the trade/UFA market with a bit less risk to his career. |

Yes our depth isn’t the greatest just yet. Need more assets before dabbling to any great degree. |

poop, it’s like the Miller signing. “Oh no, we don’t have a true #1 goalie”. Management are as bad as fans. Panic in the boardroom!
So what.
Our current roster and organizational depth is not sufficient to win a championship no matter the luck, level of goaltending, or even Devine intervention. It ain’t happening.
Most will know when this team is ready to make a push. That’s when you start to worry about obtaining a big name to fill needs. |

I'd be happy with Edler resigning on a 3 year agreement as long as there was no NMC attached. Any F/A signing you know is going to come with that. |

I think the NMC is the issue. He wants one, the Canucks don’t. Question is, who’s going to blink? |

It's a non-starter with one attached. Overpay if you want, but no NMC. Otherwise, let him walk. |

3 year deal, 2 years of NMC, 3rd year nothing. Everyone is both happy and unhappy. |

Lucic's agent said him and Milan have heard the trade talks and said that it is talk only. |

Broberg - VANTEL
Bigger need is RHD & pick them later.
F probably goes 10oa. Trade for another 2nd. |

You have equal needs everywhere
I love when people say we need to change the D or we never had a true number one D and then say we will draft one in later rounds of the draft |
