He's going to free agency. why would he sign now when he becomes an UFA on July 1? - mattstake
Maybe Philly offers what he wants. Window is opening. He'll play a major role. He'll get special teams time.
Again i only see him going to FA if he just doesn't want to be in Philly. Honestly every team that has interest is probably going to be in the same ball park as the Flyers unless someone just decides to offer an insane deal.
Brock Nelson just got 6 at 36. I see Hayes coming in a little more at 6 at 6.25 possibly 6.5. |

They probably don't need to. |

Why not? Isn't it the same situation the Flyers are in? They hired his former coach. |

A lot of players can do everything you just stated. Hayes isn’t this hidden gem. If he were this big impact player, the Rangers would have kept him. - SuperSchennBros
Dude, Wayne Gretzky was traded.
Rangers are in a rebuild. Winnipeg have them a ransom. It's not hard to understand.
Good players get traded all the damn time. Why was Duchene (who you love) traded twice? Why didn't Ottawa keep him if he's such an impact player? |

You must be confused. It’s actually the “world renown” franchises like the flyers that give up draft capital and wine and dine 2nd/3rd line players in order to have a chance to sign them |

i wish they would come up with more creative nicknames like they did in the old days. The Hound, Count, Rifle, Bundy.
Adding a Y sound to the end of their name just ain't cutting it.
