I mean I was pretty soft at 17 years old
Lets let these kids grow and play a bit before we label them soft of not - TPC
There's a pill for that. |

Take a has gotta be hotter. Hughes is soft, team led by him don't win. Just a fact. - tomburton99
And we have made that decision already based on how much data? |

hockey mock drafts are great and all....but really, let's get an article about the Rangers, rumors, draft, etc... - mattstake
Ek has a rumor up on Kreider on the blog. Not many rumors out there on New York beyond what we have already discussed. I would say that who goes 1,2 will have a material impact on the Metro division and Rangers. Pick #20 is the one that will be interesting as well, as I could see Gorton moving up to snag someone like he did with Miller last year. |

The "soft" thing is utterly laughable. Yeah, he's smaller. He's also a total f'ing stud. I will be crazy happy with either of these guys at Number 2. - Pete V

In your 2 scenario, byram is already gone when Chicago took him 3, so you wouldn’t have Compher technically AND byram. So yes, if center is of need, the guy took turcotte thinking he’s the better of the 3 with dach and cozens. I get you may not take turcotte at 4 with the buf pick but in this specific exercise on HB that’s what happened. Again byram is already taken, so he went with his BPA in turcotte - KINGS67

I'm sorry to hear this. Was it the all male HS? |

But you've pegged Hughes as being soft and he hasn't even played one (frank)ing game in the NHL. - Bean_Dip
The games I’ve watched him play, he doesn’t like the rough stuff. Could that change when he adds some muscle? Sure. But as of right now he’s Derek Stepan soft. |

Bottom line is if we draft Hughes I’ll root like crazy for him bc we haven’t had a player of his potential since I’ve been old enough to watch hockey. For me there are some concerns though with his size/style of play but at the end of the day I don’t think any of it will matter because I don’t think he falls to #2 and I’m 100% happy with Kakko. - nyrangers9479

The international all star teams he's been the centerpiece that failed to championships. |

You are then saying he is the sole reason for that? |

When was Stepan soft? He was slow not soft. He played with a broken jaw like Chara, and his dyck is still being sucked for it. Stepan was never once soft here |
