if we end up with Jack Hughes I want him to become a 100 point player, that's all I care about - jimbro83
Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about. (frank) it, 120 point player! |

TWO HUNDRED POINT PLAYER - eichiefs9
200 career points from a future NYR bust? Sounds about right. |

Chicago is going to draft a center, they've focused on defense the past few drafts, plus they have no centers coming up. For that reason they're most likely to take the hometown kid Turcotte |

you know I didn't really realize Chicago was his home town, that does put a change in my own personal thinking, I do think they'll take him |

I think it's very possible Caufield does indeed go 5
he just scored 14 goals in 7 games in the WU18's
he had 101 goals in 92 games this past season before that
DeBrincat has proved a guy his size can be a star
he's going early brah - jimbro83
Debrincat is the perfect comparison, I think Caufield can be a consistent 30 goal scorer |

Haven't been around enough to know if you are serious about this, Tom? Are you down on Hughes for some reason?

Can anyone remember a Rangers prospect so loved before his rookie season and hated after it like Pionk? Unless he's going in a trade for a guy like Trouba I don't see why you'd give up on a kid with talent this soon |

For draft junkies:
Canes head scout Tony Macdonald is retiring after the draft this year. He's 72 and has been the Director of Amateur Scouting for the club since 2008.
In that time, they've drafted Brian Dumoulin, Frederik Andersen, Justin Faulk, Victor Rask, Brock McGinn, Jaccob Slavin, Brett Pesce, Warren Foegele, Lucas Wallmark and Sebastian Aho in the second round or later. |

complete agree, although I certainly would include him in a trade
people act like Pionk doesn't even exist anymore, yeah, he was overwhelmed at points last season and was played too much, but if he's here still, he's going to play |

I'm going to apologize in advance for the long post. Custance wrote an article for the Athletic that compares current NHL players to 24 of the top players available in the draft. Best part: he compares Moritz Seider to Anton Stralman. - TheMessiah94
Honestly it's extremely ridiculous to compare these kids to superstars before they've played especially kids outside the top 5, Turcotte is a Crosby with a splash or Marchand? That's a 1st pick comparison not top 10 |

I thought that was a weak article, usually really good stuff on Athletic, that was like a blogger wrote it |

He’s 1 dimensional. Not the type of guy I’d want with a top 10 pick. And yes, he’s small. |

I don't trust anyone that size who put up monster numbers with the USNTDP. Everything about that program is weird and kind of gross. It screams Harlem Globetrotters. |
