Think the Kings live like kings and move to Rancho Cucamonga?

Ok. Caufield still isn’t BPA at 5. Not in my opinion

wait, the last 4 highest picks of the Kings have been Kupari, Akil Thomas, Vilardi and Anderson-Dolan, all centers

they haven't picked a wing high in the draft in YEARS

- jimbro83

I wouldn’t take caufield 5. Move back to maybe 7-8 and take him there. Yeah, I’ll risk not getting him and still get a good player in that range while also acquiring more assets in return. I don’t mind caufield, I’d rather LA take one of the centers at 5

I remember when Atlanta said the same thing when they took Burmistrov over Tarasenko

then they moved

It's not outlandish at all. He might end up being the 3rd best player in this draft

Does Tanner still think Gormley was a good pick

I’ve seen a lot of the mocks out there. I personally want one of the centers at 5. I know kings like dach, it’s been reported, I forget where but yeah. Yes I know, you don’t believe it until it’s set in stone. I get that.

LOL Detroit took Riley "Tinky Winky" Sheahan over Kuznetsov that draft too.

Yup, which is why I would try and trade with BUF or EDM. The guy you have on your board at 3 could be there at 7/8 and the guy you have 7/8 could be gone at 3. Interesting for sure. And that’s not including any surprises in the top 10.

We have gong show reactions to trades doing this, so staying at 5 was the better move

Went with top goal scorer in the draft. LA really wanted Byram and Turcotte is the best of the centers and didn’t really love Cozens (recently) or Dach. Zegras was the other guy I thought of taking

It is not outlandish to think LA or even Colorado took Caufield. From 5-12ish anyone could go in those spots. A real potpourri of hockey players

Also, only Anderson Dolan is said to be a lock for center at NHL level. Thomas is a couple years out, and may not be a center either.

Holy poop the 2010 draft was bad for CHI. Hayes in the 1st and 4 2nds that amounted to basically nothing.

I gave up. I reached the pinnacle of harassing him when he told me that I was "an angry middle aged guy that was some sort of hardcore conservative" despite the fact that the conversation had literally nothing to do with politics

After all the fun I had mocking him, he ends up being the one to embarrass him the most. Go figure

You can try but those teams have to be willing to move assets to move up.

the point I made though is they have used their last 4 highest draft picks on centers

I could see them take the best pure goal scorer in the draft despite the fact he is a wing
