I do think he's an NHLer but probably a bottom pair, PP QB type guy.
Like M.A. Bergeron.
I like him a lot, but he's 21 and we haven't seen him play against even AHL competition, so... - BINGO!

Bergeron was pretty good for most of his career when he was healthy though?
Like, pretty consistently a 35~ point defenseman. |

I've actually been there plenty of times and it's fun, which is probably a bad thing to tell everyone on the internet |

I'm actually interested in going to Fire Island since after all my years living here I have only driven on the road like a few times. Never went to that beach or anything. |

Driven on the road? There are no cars on Fire Island. How the hell have you never gone to Fire Island? - eichiefs9
Oh, I meant the barrier island on the Southampton side. Definitely a road there. I considered the whole thing Fire Island (obviously wrong).
No idea. I really do want to check it out. |

Ohhh haha...No idea, we go a bunch of times a summer. I spend a lot of time in Sailors Haven on a friend's boat and we'll shoot over there to grab drinks since it's the closest town with bars. It's actually really fun to hang out there |

Any way to look up how this draft stacks up against others? How is Kakko rated compared to Svechnikov etc |

Ah yeah, Dune Road. Used to head out that way with my parents when I was younger and they had the 4x4 pass for their Jeep. There's a great 4x4 beach on the East side of the Shinnecock Inlet.
But what's actually considered FINS (Fire Island National Seashore) is west of Smith Point and east of Robert Moses. Unless you're cop/contractor/something else like that you're not driving there. Boats and ferries only. |

I don't know if you would find any sources that aren't subjective. It would be interesting to see some info like that though.

this is from a Hurricanes blog before the trade:
One thing can be for sure: Adam Fox will make an immediate impact with whatever team he decides to sign for. A two-way defenseman that can contribute as effectively as Fox does on offense, as well as playing an intensely physical brand of hockey is a very rare thing to come by, especially in the pool of prospects likely to make an impact on the NHL in the near future.
Hopefully Don Waddell and the management team can manage to entice Adam Fox to sign with the team. After all, we are on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time in a decade. The Hurricanes are a much better team than in years past, and are currently one of the youngest teams in the league with an average age of 25.6. The future is bright in Raleigh, and Adam Fox would be a huge addition to the team going forward if he does decide to sign with Carolina.
Not to worry, Caniacs, as there is a silver lining to this situation: the Carolina Hurricanes have plenty of time to negotiate with Fox, and the concept of playing alongside players like Sebastian Aho, Dougie Hamilton, and Nino Niederreiter are sure to be a very enticing concept to him. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, Caniacs. Adam Fox is for real, and is a must-sign while we have the opportunity.

I was actually talking to my wife about going this year. Is there anything kid friendly or is it just a bunch of drunk people there. (like you) |

Sounds like Kevin Hayes was impressed by his visit with #Flyers. Money talks, so we’ll see, but they have work to do to entice him not to go to market. My understanding is PHI isn’t No. 1 on his list at the moment. That can change. I believe he’d be intrigued by #CBJ and #Coyotes |

Go to Fair Harbor, leaves from the Bay Shore ferries. Whole town goes down to the dock at sunset to drink and hangout, but it's mostly families and older people. I've rented a house there 3 out of the last 4 summers because it's still fun but super relaxing. Avoid Ocean Beach (it's the biggest town with a lot of stores and stuff but they have obnoxious laws and bumhole cops) and Ocean Bay Park (where Flynn's is and your children will likely be exposed to fighting guidos hopped up on molly and blow). Kismet wouldn't be a bad spot either. All of those places go from the Bay Shore ferries.
Closer to you, I'd say go to Sailor's Haven/Sunken Forest (it's the same place) from the Sayville ferry. There's a cool boardwalk through the Sunken Forest, a snack shack and public bathrooms/showers. I think they started serving booze at the shack last summer too. |
