The way this board hates good players wouldn't shock me if he signs with the team that wins the cup next year.
While I hear all year long how great it is we didnt sign him. - Mentalorgasm5
You think a 7 year $10M per deal is a good idea with him? |

The blues fans should be pissed that they are not picking 7oa. That's how you win a Stanley cup - Boss34
Yet a few months from now I’ll be awaiting your optimistic posts abut the future of the Sabres. I look forward to it. |

I forgot the part where the Sabres were a perennial playoff contender on life support that had to shoot their shot while their core was still together.
I’m a Buffalo Sabres fan not a St.Louis Blues fan. Kudos to them for winning a cup, we were not going to win one with ROR here during his prime. ROR was the final piece to the puzzle in St.Louis, Buffalo is a few years away from ever boasting the roster top to bottom that St.Louis had. - Pegullaville
You sure are confident for someone that doesn’t seem to be ever right. How do you know that? Like I said in a prior post you were saying a month ago that St. Louis was a waste of a playoff spot. Now you’re saying ROR was the last piece to the puzzle? So you more or less are saying they had everything they needed minus ROR but a month ago they were better off tanking? At any point do you think that maybe it’s time to admit that you were and continue to be wrong about everything? |

Absolutely. They should’ve tanked they had a shot at being consistent Stanley Cup champions. They blew it on just one cup. |

Ok, it kinda felt like you were suggesting the Sabres came in last place and ror was playing big minutes during that season.
Maybe I misread the past dozen posts? - Boss34
Lol. Yeah, I was. And did. Those are facts. |

Sorry I’ll spend more time creeping the Isles blog awaiting your hot takes. The Blues proved the whole world wrong not only me. I must have missed the part where all of the experts had the Blues winning. Parody is alive and well, it’s a change of the guard. It still doesn’t change the fact the Buffalo Sabres would not have won a cup this year with ROR here.
I’m so wrong about everything that I thought Brock Nelson would have been a great depth signing for the Sabres, while a future HOF GM got him signed long term before any of his other pending UFA’s. |

No one would care if JB didn’t trade him for table scraps.
Happy for ROR. |

Yes. Just like I didnt mind O'Reilly's contract.
Jesus christ this fan base is always trying to worry about 5 years in the future rather than winning now.

But the Okposo contract was great! We were going for it!!!
We came so close by spending all those picks and cap space!

I kind of go back and forth on the playoff experience thing. It doesn't hurt, but I'm not sure how much it helps. The only reason the Sabres fell in 05-06 was because they were down to their 9th defenseman. And they were loaded with rookies. And then were simply outplayed the next year despite all that experience. |

The contract was one thing, but to say he wasn't a good hockey player? Really? |
