you can either have a fringe all star with speed as your second line center and a probable hit with casey as a winger in your top 6


or you can have a possible hit as your second center, casey, and a void for your top 6 winger

He will move 31 but not 7 unless it's a huge return. From what I was told, thy are picking at 7 and it may be he picks at 31 also. Picks are fine but it's been years since this team has progressed and at some point you have to start getting better even if it takes signing another big player.

After thinking about how easily so many teams seem to be able to navigate what look like obvious cap issues, I'm now on the side of signing good players and worrying about the cap later, a bit. Duchene makes sense.

It depends on the price tag for Dutchy...IMO he is going to be expensive as the top C in UFAland.
His avg production of 55pts is inline with a 2C, but probably gets paid like a 1C..
