Have they already determined who the backup goalie will be?

That's why they let him rot for another year in Laval and buy him with 2 years left, unless they can off load him somewhere

Let him rot. I don't want Bergevin to give incentives to another team for it to take him. Unless maybe the incentive would be Hudon. But I don't think so.

Or if it's a less than desirable contract that Bergy feels he could get more actual value out of coming back

Agreed ... that was an awful signing any way we look at it.

This is the most dangerous time of year for a GM ... many stupid decisions are made during the Summer.

Lindgren doesn't seem to be consistent enough, often looks shaky and all over the place... But then again, goalies are a weird animal, he could pan out in 5 years lol

That would be my guess.

Can we expect Primeau in Laval? Too soon?

Haven't had an NHL game played by a 7th rounder since Kostitsyn and the reduction in round numbers. Sounds smrt.

My guess is too soon? But the expectations are probably higher for him than for Lindgren

Cayden Primeau, Jake Evans, Brett Stapley last year...they've done better with their 7ths lately than most of their other 3-6 rounders

For 7th round picks? Not sure what more you expect frankly. If a 7th ends up being good enough to be a consideration or earn a contract, it's a good pick

No but seriously, what's the point of this signing? Why two-way? And 700k? Really?? What's the priority here??
