Ya, that was my immediate reaction.
Kadri, while I like and would take on this team, is the weak link. Toronta needs to up it a bit more. Can the Peg take on Risto with their cap situation?

1 year, then UFA and he already shunned Buffalo.
Why would he resign here?

How about going for Krieder. Higher Cap but better player, play 2C.
Still a UFA next year though, but if he produces decently and doesn't want to re-sign here, trade him at the TDL, wouldn't lose too much value.

Good, no reason to.

No real surprise there. Neal was a huge disappointment last season with just seven goals and 19 points in 63 contests, so we can see why the Flames would want to part ways with him. He's only completed the first season of his five-year, $28.75 million contract though. While a change in scenery might do him some good, it's unlikely there's a team out there too interested in assuming that contract.
