I think the leafs can find cap space ..... move Kadri or Marleau or that 4.5 million dollar Russian D.
It’s not that hard to find space, just need to be creative. The black hawks did it with Coyotes and hurricanes. |

Scandella and Sheary, Dion is donzo, Scandella can still skate. Vesey and Sheary put on the same production. |

Kadri for Risto... am I over valuing Risto or is that a bit off... Kadri is a 2/3 c with a history of suspensions.... I’d take him. But not for risto.... |

Ya, that was my immediate reaction.
Kadri, while I like and would take on this team, is the weak link. Toronta needs to up it a bit more. Can the Peg take on Risto with their cap situation? |

I don't get the allure to Vesey.
1 year, then UFA and he already shunned Buffalo.
Why would he resign here?
I'd rather have him than Sheary, but not if he walks.
How about going for Krieder. Higher Cap but better player, play 2C.
Still a UFA next year though, but if he produces decently and doesn't want to re-sign here, trade him at the TDL, wouldn't lose too much value. |

No real surprise there. Neal was a huge disappointment last season with just seven goals and 19 points in 63 contests, so we can see why the Flames would want to part ways with him. He's only completed the first season of his five-year, $28.75 million contract though. While a change in scenery might do him some good, it's unlikely there's a team out there too interested in assuming that contract. |

They have to watch out moving and or trading players. Can't pay everyone 8-9 mill a year and stay within the cap and competitive. |

The Los Angeles Kings have bought out Dion Phaneuf.
Phaneuf stock had been slowly dipping for years, but his role with the Kings declined substantially in 2018-19. He had a goal and six points in 67 games while averaging just 15:00 minutes. He still had two seasons left on his seven-year, $49 million contract, though part of that salary had been retained by the Ottawa Senators. As a result, the Kings will have a cap penalty of $2,187,500 next season, $4,062,500 in 2020-21, and then $1,062,500 in each of 2021-22 and 2022-23. Meanwhile, the Senators will have a cap penalty of $729,167 in 2019-20, $1,354,167 in 2020-21, and then $354,167 in each of 2021-22 and 2022-23.

Anthony Davis to the lakers.
The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN. |
