I thought so too re: Zegras, which makes me wonder why two posters here just posted they are torn on him. - kingcong39
Because it's the Mittelstadt conundrum. When someone is considered the best pure offensive talent, but produces less at 5v5 than a 15 year old in the USHL, there are at the very least, important questions worth asking.

I actually wonder if they can move up from 31 by taking on a rough deal for a year. Someone on HFboards mentioned 18 and someone from dallas for 31.
Keeps them in the first round, but we get the better talent. - Sabresfan-365

He frequently has solid info.
In the comments there, I read an interesting name: Emil Larmi. |

Contrarian viewpoint: if you have the next 8-10 players aside from the top 2 the same, wouldn't you be good adding assets and still getting a talented player from that grouping? - kingcong39
Fair, but there's probably a better offer. I'd rather take my guy than add a 2nd the following year.

Probably, St Michaels high school in Toronto does it lol.
In all game states, he was 6th behind Turcotte, Hughes, Brink, Caufield and Boldy.
It's not to say he's not good, i have fewer concerns than I did with Mitts. But it's one of those where the context of why he's last on that list matters.
Fwiw, that USNTDP team was something like 23-3, so they weren't bad... |

Wouldn't doubt that at all. Some salary is going to be moving this week and it's easy to imagine JB being involved.

How about Vesey and 20 for 31, Risto and another player.

That was my absolute favorite, and the response to it as well 😅😂
The Pens undrafted goaltender seems interesting. |

Especially if someone who was say 10th on his list was there at 18. For him it'd be two top 10 picks for the price of taking on a bad deal for a year. Pretty good deal (if he's right) |

Any word on if Minnesota would consider trading big Eric? Perfect 2 or 3 year stopgap, character vet. - Powerslave
Smart choice. Timeline usvperfect, cost wouldn't kill them contractually. |

Some team will pick him in the top 10. I hope it isn't us. It's Podkolzin that could slip out of the top 10. |
