He’s an RFA? Are you sure?

He’s not.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'll take Reinhart over Laine
- jcragcrumple

Why?

No gm in the league would rather have Sam then laine.

Yeah, he'll be 27, so years served doesn't matter.

My bad sorry, figured since he’s on a ELC he’d be a RFA. That changes everything- no interest in him for one year

Not that it matters, but he's not on an ELC. Lot people are misreporting that he'll be RFA.

Yeah it goes by signing age. Since he signed at 23 and this is his 2nd contract he doesn’t need Years served.

Does anyone remember who the NHL player was (goalie, maybe?) whose dad had ties to the mob?

Not really sure. More than 10 years at least, I think.

I just remember him having to admit he was taking Propecia, or some other hair growth drug.

Seems like Laine is set on making $10m. I wouldn't touch that. And I like Reinhart's overall game better

I still don't understand how Laine thinks he's a $10m player. That would make Marner a $13m player

Reinhart is better than Laine as of today.

But if we’re betting on years going forward I think I bet on Laine

Laine has avg just under 37 goals a year and is 21.

Skinner just got 9 and Laine scores at a better clip.

There why he thinks he should make 10

He's coming off a 30g 50p season though. A team would be banking on him going 40g 70p next year, which he could do. Idk, curious timing for me. A 2 year, $7.5m per bridge would make way more sense to me than 7/$70. I wouldn't commit that kind of cash at this stage

Laine 237 games 110 goals 74 assists 184 points
All without eichel

Sam's 1st 253 games 65 goals 75 assists 140 points

I respect your opinion, but disagree.

Laine's cost vs. Sam's cost does put a different spin on it.

Laine 10 million
Sam 7.5 million

I'm taking laine. Skins just got 9 million for his 1st 40 goal season

Seriously, what?

Ror just proved you wrong

Now risto is below average?
And Sam is better then laine today?

How do I make some money off these takes ?

I realize these are opinions, but I disagree

I’m not sure how you can make money off of them but these aren’t hot takes outside of the fact that I thought O’Reilly was over rated.

Not one smart person will tell you Ristolainen is good.

Only people who think hitzzzzz are still super important

I get the argument for Sam, but he's earned a 7m deal. Laine's earned 10m. There's a big gap between them.

Fair, I guess what I'm saying is, I wouldn't trade Reinhart for Laine if I know he wants 7/$70. I guess I'm just not as high on Laine as most.

Looking at offer sheets, if someone offer sheets him for $10m even, that's 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd. That scenario might actually not be too far fetched

Again, I’d take Laine long term.

But Reinhart was better this year and that’s not really debatable.

Like I said that’s not really a hot take.

Laine has been mentioned in the rumor mill by multiple people for reasons. He’s a one trick pony
