TB didn't mind it because it got Callahan's 5.8M out plus Palat's highly underachieving ass's 3x5.4M out the door plus they get 2 1sts and a projected 2C in Mits who can grow under Miller/Johnson/Gourde.

IDK how salary would work because Point is gonna get about 9-10M AAV I'd guess.

No way. The Sabres sucked pretty hard to get this guy. Young, cost-controlled, loads of potential. Not the time to give up on a guy like that. He needs to take a big step, then get locked up for a friendly contract.

West is right. Vegas is among the best places to look for a trade. And I like the idea of a placeholder vs long term UFA pickup.
