Hard pass...and ole' Jochen had 1 21 goal season and 1 22 goal season out of 10 in Buffalo. Never hit 20 beyond that. Serviceable, decent, yes. But I wouldn't trade Risto for him!
- chugger38

Neither would I, but Hecht was very good, and criminally underrated.

So if the two draft picks we got for ROR turn into a top-6 forward and a top-4 dman in 3-4 years (or our goalie of the future), and they help lead us to our first Cup 5-6 years from now, then can we say the trade was even?
Because until we see what those picks become, there is no reasonable or intelligent way to judge that trade. It is simply incomplete.

ROR was misjudged by TM as a main player to build a team around. He was let go by CO for being a problem, let go by us for being a problem, and fell into the perfect spot to be successful on an already-stacked team. Good for him and good for St Louis.

Paula's donuts are soooo good.

Won't matter to some on here, best just to chalk it up as a loss and move on.

No GM wins every trade. Let's hope Botts wins more than he loses going forward.

A) many fans can't see the forest for the trees. While it looks like a terrible, ugly, abomination of a trade right now, who knows?

B) I'm happy for the fans of a city that has been waiting over 50 years for this. Grown men were weeping outwardly, and you know what? I will be, too, when we finally win it (because I want to live forever, and it may take that long πŸ˜‚)

C) Ever tried Donut Kraze? That's the sh!t.

A) Agree
B) Agree
C) I've proposed to three of the women that work there...and one man. They know the secret ingredient and I must have it.

So I see we’ve moved on to the 5th stage of grief now, acceptance.

Or is tit the third of bargaining?

C) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the "and one man" part got me! (not that there's anything wrong with that).

The first time I went there, I had the cream cheese donut, and I ate it on my home from work and my mouth was actually tingling (waits for, or better yet, bring on the inappropriate comments πŸ˜‚). I don't know what else they put in those (frank)ing things, but holy sh!t.

No kidding. I tell people it's better or as good as Paula's, it's only those who haven't went that tell me I'm crazy.

We don't have good sports franchises, but there are some great food options here at least. Food is love and all that.

Still used to drive me nuts how many shots he took from behind the net trying to get bank ins. I am not sure it ever worked.

Or we could trade those two picks this year for immediate help. Would that salvage the trade somewhat?

If pick 31 can turn into JT Miller somehow

JT Miller
Thompson
2nd rounder

For ROR is far from the worst trade ever.
