Pittsburgh trades Olli Maatta to Chicago for Kahun and a 5th round pick.

Trade seems a little off from CHI perspective

I don’t know too much about Kahun but 37 points mostly at EV as a rookie seems really solid

3 way trade

Risto to peg
Trouba to Toronto
Kadri to buffalo

- Boss34

You don't hand Trouba to Toronto like that. If Toronto is getting Trouba, then Buffalo should get Kadri and Ehlers.

I wouldn't trade Risto for Kadri straight up, and I sure wouldn't help hand Toronto Trouba

How do we give up the worst player in the trade and walk away with Ehlers and Kadri?

An acquaintance knows risto's agent.

He asked for a trade.

I heard this prior to krueger and skins signing

I hope he stays

- Boss34

That's the first I heard, if he wants out, get him out. no need for any bad apples.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Yankees have acquired Edwin Encarnacion from the Mariners.
No word yet on the potential return package for the Mariners. Despite missing the past three games with a back issue, Encarnacion currently leads the American League with 21 home runs while slashing .241/.356/.531 with 48 runs scored and 49 RBI. From a fantasy perspective, it's a major upgrade for Encarnacion both in terms of home ballpark and supporting cast.

Jesus Christ when the hell is Brian " Darcy " Cashman going to figure out that the Yankees need PITCHING goddamn it, Pitching.

Must mean Frazier is on his way out. Stanton is coming back next week.

Last I checked it is still June. I completely trust him. I think this is a reflection of Gardners struggles this season.

Encarcion is signed through next year. I would have rather seen Frazier full time.

They should just keep Frazier and trade Stanton.

Except no one will take that contract.

If Cano was traded then Stanton can be traded. Does he have a nmc? I think so.

I think you're undervaluing Risto and overvaluing kadri. If you think Kadri is getting 30 goals and 60 points on this team, I have a new peace bridge to sell you. I'd wager Risto scoring 55p on WPG over Kadri scoring 55p on the Sabres

Imo, they don't need him. Another bloated contract.

Interesting, bold take.
I dont agree that Kadri would not excel here. Obviously an upgrade at middle six wings is in order for this team, but if that happens I could see him fitting in pretty well as 2C.

Risto, to have a chance at 55 in peg would mean lots of oz starts, pp time, and toi...all the things we say he gets too much of here already!

With all due respect, anyone following Risto's advanced stats and useage would agree that his offensive zone starts are far below what we should expect for an offensive defenseman. He's been above 50% o zone starts one time in his career.

Kadri was a good 2C with solid linemates. He put up nice stats with Kessel years ago, and did well with Marner before JT bumped him to 3C. Here, he'd be playing with Olofsson and..... not sure really.

Yikes.

You think Risto is taking PP1 time from Byfuglien?
