I think they are still going to try and get him and use Ghost to do so. Others don’t.

In the blog two days ago Bill mentioned the leak of info from Hayes camp on not being his number one destination.

Bad ploy to use the media to pressure GM’s. Could back fire in his camp and in the future dealings with this agent.

Like Bill said, sign him with what you feel is fair in the current market for what you planned on. If he balks. Move on and go to plan B, C or what ever.

Anyways, kind of put a stink on his client. What if he does sign here. Oh, you weren’t my favorite target but I guess you’ll have to do. Not a good start to a team and fan relationship. He ought to move on from that agent.

Not sure. Would be interested to know. Just not professional. Some on here say it wouldn’t matter if he signs and all will be forgotten. Not sure that is true for me at least. Character matters to me. Think it was unprofessional of the agent and if it had Hayes’ blessing then it was poor character.

If we sign Hayes for a fair price I still would be happy. Just a red flag in my mind. Don’t think I’ll have a Hayes jersey if he does sign. That is all I’m saying.

Thanks for the post. That is significant space for this coming year that the Flyers would save. Guessing he has some more plans to unfold.

Everyone should be holding their breath. Really no reason to buyout Amac whatsoever.

Just compiling a list of things Fletch has tried\done this off season...

1. Sign AV and new coaching staff (Im excited about AV as coach)
2. Trade for rights to Hayes for a 5th round pick
3. Trade Gudas for Nisk
4. Release 47


Pretty active summer so far though none of those moves listed are really high end changes they add up.

Well common sense to me is you offer him around the league with some retention so you don’t have dead space next year. Maybe they didn’t want to retain idk.

People wanted him in the AHL, not taking up 1.9M in cap space in the 20/21 season. I have a bad feeling Hayes is gonna get 7x6.5/7 plus a NMC

Yes. I think so. Just to me this move is very telling. He had about 10-13mil to use after RFA signing (depending on deals). Working on a Hayes deal we know of. Wanting another 3 plus million to work with let’s us know he plans on spending some significant money. May want a big fish to land. Or should I say he more likely plans on going after the big fish.

Well, he is going to keep this off season entertaining for sure.
