Once again LeBron shows he is a master off the court as much as he is on the court. He went to the Lakers and sowed the seeds of doubt and unrest, resulting in management becoming a laughing stock.

Now he is forming the Lakers in his own image, which includes AD, LeBron, and Kuzma. They are now clear favorites in the West.

He gave the Flyers what they needed at the time. A minutes eating veteran defenseman who could play a top 4 role. Hextall send him down to make room for Manning. I understand they wanted to give Manning a chance but MacDonald was the superior player.

Things are good doc. Working 3p to 1:30a now, 4 on 3 off. Moving to nights by the fall, week on week off. Ready for the warm weather and a good Flyers team again.

I'm still holding out for #11 and Hagg for Trouba.

AMac was serviceable for sure. Silly contract given by Homer though. If I remember right, it was right before the playoffs too. I didn’t understand why they didn’t wait till after the season ended.

I don’t think they should trade Ghost at all. He’s one season removed from 65points. Those kind of number don’t grow on trees for defensemen.

Here is the comment I am talking about:

Provorov is not yet a legitimate #1 NHL defenseman. Sanheim is not yet a legitimate 1st pair NHL defenseman. Myers has played 21 NHL games. He is not yet a legitimate top 4 NHL defenseman. Gudas is not a player who is going to be a top 4 defenseman on a contending team and he is likely not going to be around when the team reaches contending status. Neither is MacDonald. Haag is a 3rd pair NHL defenseman. We'll see what Morin becomes but he is not a given. The Flyers do not have a surplus of young top 4 NHL defenseman that makes a situation where the Flyers can afford to trade one due to having a surplus. That surplus does not exist.

Why would a team with a surplus of top 4 NHL defenseman want to add another one as you state? LOL

I have a gut feeling Ghost is going to be moved for a forward. I'll see how I feel about it when I see what the return is.

One thing that is often lost in the shuffle here is that the Flyers have lacked a legitimate top pair D since Pronger and Timmonen ceased to be a thing. No matter who took that top spot in the interim, they were going to be exposed, whether their name was Coburn or MacDonald, or whoever. MacDonald in my opinion was asked frequently over the years to play a role for which he was not well suited.

Provorov will probably (i hope) be a top pair guy, but last season was unquestionably a disappointment after having an excellent season in the previous year. Someone somewhere is going to have to develop into, or arrive via trade/free agency as a top pair caliber D if this team is going to improve.
