I'm still holding out for #11 and Hagg for Trouba.
Save Ghost in a package for a forward.
Seems like they may be penciling our 3rd pair as Morin and Myers... I'd like that.
AMac is gone, just don't understand the hate. He was overpaid but that's our fault. Let the guy rest in piece. He'll get picked up by a team as a 3rd pair guy. Earn $2.5 and ride off into sunset. I was quick to criticize him A LOT but I appreciate his service. - cdearth23
We have better dmen playing now on our team then Trouba. That would be a waste of roster and salary. |

Idk if there is even a youngish top pair guy out there to trade for. Ekblad maybe? - hereticpride
There probably isnt one available at all, and any that were would come at an exorbitant price. |

I have a gut feeling Ghost is going to be moved for a forward. I'll see how I feel about it when I see what the return is. - hereticpride
I'm not advocating for trading Ghost but I think it might happen as well. He is a unique talent in need of a bounce back season but he may fetch a good return. Jury will be out until we see that return. |

I believe that Provy, Sanheim, and Myers will be solid NHL dman, but, right now, Trouba would be top pair. It would be a move to solidify d corps. I'd be supportive of the move.
Provy / Trouba
Sanheim / Niskanen
Morin / Myers
Ghost, Hagg, etc. . |

Are they going for something bigger to use that money now?
Or just clearing up the roster spot? - Marc D
Got to think something bigger. Fletcher had freed up money. He wants more freed up money. He is going all in. |

Schemlko is the Lehigh vet mentor. If Amac needed to be Called up then the season went wrong somewhere imo as he doesn’t fit any long term need. For short term injury they are fine. - daryl stanley
I don’t know. Think so many injuries happen and with only one extra held on D a call up is a likely situation. A guy like AMac is who you would want in that situation.
And he is not taking up a prospect space in LV. They are short a couple D as is.
I have to think that Fletcher is going after some major deals this off season. Sit back and enjoy the fireworks boys. Because the Fourth of July is going on all summer. |

If we don't sign Hayes who do you think we target? RNH in a trade? That would probably require giving up Ghost
Not sure there's a simple solution for 2C if Hayes doesn't sign - bulet13
No simple solution. But Fletch has the Cap space and picks/prospects to make something happen. |

You're the guy who is claiming that I have made statements. Specifically that MacDonald is "garbage". There is no such statement. Nor is there any flip flopping. I have challenged you numerous times to back up your claims. The responsibility is on you to do so since you're the accuser. You have failed repeatedly to do so. The bottom line is that your claims are complete bullpoop. Be man enough to come at me directly rather than with this childish approach. When I disagree with a statement you make, I don't bring up some fantasy of something you allegedly said in the past or make statements as you did calling me out. I bring it directly to you. Case closed.

Here is the comment I am talking about:
You have spent years telling us AMac was a Top 4 Dman and defending him. His play hasnt changed since the day he arrived. You dont say he is garbage directly but thats pretty much what you mean. I spent way too much time tracking down this comment. I dont care enough about some stranger on the internet enough to dig deeper. I shouldnt have even cared this much - xShoot4WarAmpsx

You'd have a better chance of convincing a flat earther that they're wrong. |

I have always said keep him. One year will not break us. We can also trade him and retain cap. He is a capable 3rd pair guy just overpaid. Id be tempted to play him as well. AMac has played pretty well every second season since arriving here. Hopefully he can have a strong start, gain some interest and we can deal him to a team desperate to replace injured Dmen. I would much rather keep 2.5 mill over one season than 2 mill over 2 years - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Questions
Have you played much quality hockey?
Have you watched all,or most of the games last year?
If yes to both, then you couldn’t possibly think Amac played pretty well.

Amac gone? It seems too good to be true. In all fairness, it’s not his fault for his biggest drawback...his contract. Anyone would have signed it, it’s Homers and Hexy’s fault for giving it to him. Amac is and has always been a below average defenseman and would have been sent packing years ago if not for his ridiculous contract. I am sure he always tried his best, he just isn’t good. And so ends the reign of one of the worst footnotes in Flyers history...but don’t despair Raffl is still here. - darkerens
Hextall?? - SMS4016
Hexy was the assistant gm at the time and I am sure he had input on the trade and the signing. He also kept him around and in the nhl for years after becoming gm. Either way, I can’t believe how many arguments there have been on here about one of the most mediocre players during the most mediocre period of our franchise. Maybe we can all argue about Manning next.

Where did I say that? All I was saying is to not take on the dead cap space for an extra year. I know AMac didnt play well. The most I was hoping for was to give him a few games to start the season and see if he can draw some interest. Teams often lose DMen to injury. I dont think teams would hesitate to take him at half the cap hit if they need a depth guy. |

How ridiculously absurd. MacDonald is in the last year of his contract. LOL. Which pretty much means when the team reaches true contender status in the FUTURE, MacDonald won't be around. You did spend way too much time tracking this comment down. We're in agreement. It doesn't say what you say I mean. This is an epic failure on your part. I have made comments exactly on what MacDonald has been as a player the Flyers. Nothing has changed about any of that. The post you quoted was part of the conversation about your claim that the Flyers have a surplus of top 4 NHL defenseman. I proved your statement to be wrong . Congrats, you quoted a post that showed that I was right. That somehow in your mind, me stating the obvious that MacDonald is not part of the Flyers future is flip flopping on what I've said about him in the past. That thought on your part is completely devoid of logic.
