I would argue Lou's contracts are the 2 worst on the Leafs though. Lou overpays veteran non core guys.

True. But he likely would've had Marner locked up long term at a much cheaper deal than the one he's about to get from Dubas.

Lou always said if you have time, use it. I don’t think Marner would already be signed.
