With COL having interest in Kreider at the deadline and already having 4th overall, what about Kreider 58 for 16. Picks 2 16 and 20 would be great.

id do that, but they made need to add one more piece, small one.

Anything moving up, or getting another first, id pretty much do within reason with Kreider as the centerpiece.

I’d think a contender (ie- last third of the draft) would be willing to take Kreider for a a full year and trade the first rder this year. He’s gonna get a first at the TDL if he’s still here anyway, so why not just take him for an extra 50 games.

For Kreider, It’s crazy to think right now, today, all 3 of these have equal chance of happening:

1. Extend him this summer
2. Trade at the draft
3. Trade at the TDL

I’m not sure you could say one is more likely then another

I gotta be honest, I don’t see the dire need to buy any of these guys out. I don’t think it’s imperative. Unless you think they expect to contend the next two years, it really makes no sense to do it. I think they plan on being a borderline playoff team and play them out that way. I’d rather not hinder any cap space in 21/22 when this team will be ready to contend, I think thats the best thing they can do

Brooks said in his article not to long ago he will not be a deadline deal. He’s either signing and extension over the summer or getting traded at the draft/before the season.
