Kinda different scenario's there.
In this scenario, Vancouver is moving an anchor back the other way, acquiring a young player with upside and Lucic who brings a different and arguably more valuable dimension to Vancouver.
i don't see it as doing Edm any favors.

The Chicago deal was due to cap restraints and was TT plus Bickell for a 2nd and 3rd round pick.

The extra year on that Lucic contract is gross as well.
