I'll just say 2018/19 stats suggest otherwise.

According to TSN.ca Lucic had 259 hits last season.
Motte was our hit leader with 200...Motte.
JV was 2nd with 154.

The kicker for me is the NMC.
Some places i've read that Lucic would forfeit this if he agreed to a trade, but Friedman's piece suggests that it would remain in place, which would mean he would be protected in the expansion draft.
That's a non-starter for me.

But if not, I would be ok with Lucic and JP for LE.
I think Lucic would be able to play a role on this team and bring (my favorite hockey term) some much needed GRIT!

I think it is best to keep our existing problems as is . If Canucks can not find a better deal then send Loui to the AHL. We don't need the cap space this year maybe a better offer next year.
