What I would do with Eriksson is tell JP Berry that they are sending him to Utica and it is up to the Agent to find him a deal . It is amazing how much pressure an agent can put on other teams to find a deal that his client and the other team would agree upon.

I was just responding to the notion that trading Jake to a team who had “better leaders” would set him up for success. I think that notion is preposterous. Also, I am not suggesting there is a problem with Jake, that’s just the narrative. I’m not interested in trading Jake, or upgrading the D through the trade market because I realize how much that will cost the Canucks. Unless Benning can pull off an Ehrhoff for White type deal I say just stay the course. Take small steps every year.
