Braun can actually defend, played with vladic on one of the better shut down pairs. Pretty big difference than i guy who gets torched every time he’s on the ice against top lines.

Yeah i'm not gonna pretend like i watched much of him - but right off the top playing with Vlasic has to be taken into consideration - everything I've read states that he was propped up heavily by MEV in tough minutes and that his advanced stats are poor. 2nd and 3rd seems way too much, I'm just jealous

I think we just underrate how much a steady defensemen costs. As Kuzma said a 2nd pairing D is worth more than a 2L forward.

Gudbranson got Van a 40 point forward in return.

Steady Vet D in Braun a 2nd and 3rd. Chances that 2nd and 3rd every play an NHL aren't even very high.

It's why you take the Vintage approach. Draft, develop, sell high when someone better is waiting to be called up. Soon enough that will happen.
