That sounds way too much in the Hawks' favor.
How about this:
Clarkson, Eakan, Mcnabb to Chi ($11.6M)
Anisimov and a 4th to Vegas ($4.55M)
Vegas replaces Eakan in lineup and saves $7.05M in cap space which could go toward re-signing William Karlsson and others.
The Hawks upgrade 3C and add a solid defensive d-man with 3 years on a relatively cheap contract. The 2019/20 cap is no problem and the cap exchange of McNabb and Anisimov saves $2M over the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. - EbonyRaptor
You have to factor into the equation that Clarkson is on LTIR. |

Zadina played for the Grand Rapids Griffins no, and he was only 19 when he was drafted? - SoftServe
He was considered on loan to the CHL. Like Boqvist and Willie Nylander. Those type of players on loan from overseas can play in the AHL before the age rules. |

Correct - which means whatever team owns his contract must be cap compliant on Day#1 of the 2019/20 season - with his $5.25M cap hit included. Vegas needs that $5.25M to not be on their books on Day#1 - the Hawks don't have that concern because they have the available cap space to include Clarkson's $5.25M on their opening day roster and can then move him to LTIR afterward.

Button's latest mock has the Hawks picking Turcotte at 3 now. How can anyone take this guy seriously? He had him at 10 how many days ago? And now his "sure fire can't miss #1 dman" is going 5 to the Kings. |

Would CLB move Ryan Murray for say... a 3rd Rd Pick and Forsling?
They desperately need picks, Murray will be moved. Forsling give them a warm body with some upside to plug in on the blueline.
Of course the Hawks have too many Dman as it is but there is the potential to move Gus or Murphy. - HawkFanInLeafLand

Who is the best "cap dump" candidate for a cap-hell team that the Hawks could absorb that would ACTUALLY improve the team in some capacity for one year (ignoring the opportunity cost of using the $$$ on other players)?
My vote is Callahan as a bottom 6 F. I think he could do PK, good character guy and would give a bit more grit than they've had in the past. I think Marleau is redundant to team strengths (scoring goals). - phantasmo
If they want to include JT Miller or their best prospect, count me in. Callahan could prove useful for one year. |

I think if a player turns 20 by December 31 of any calendar year he can play in the AHL or NHL that season. Also, if he has 4 years in juniors, he can play in the AHL or NHL. If he is less than (EDIT) 20 years, he can play a 9 game stint in the NHL than be returned to his junior team.
So...
Boqvist will be 19+ by December 31, 2019. It's either juniors or a 9 game trial or a full year with the Hawks this upcoming season.
Beaudin will be 20+ by December 31, 2019 and has 4 years in juniors so he is eligible for the AHL or NHL.
Byram and Cozens have three years in juniors. The 19-20 season will be their 4th. Unless they are phenoms and show they can play in 19-20, they will be eligible to play in the AHL or NHL in 20-21. - boilermaker100
Boqvist can play in the AHL this season if the Hawks want him there. He is on loan from his overseas club. He is not subject to the CHL age rules. |

Vegas had C prospect Cody Glass on his ELC who will move up to the parent club. They don't need AA and his 4.5M. Throw in a pick or two to Vegad and trade AA for picks to replace them. |

Button is on record from Podcast's/Interviews over the last week that his MOCK draft and his Player Rankings are 2 very different things. He can view Byram as the 3rd best player in the draft, but put Turcotte as #3 in the Mock Draft bc of what he thinks the Hawks will do. |

Can't be. His rights still belong to the Jackets until midnight on June 30th. |

And unrestricted free agents can't meet and interview with potential new teams until the day after the NHL Entry Draft through June 30.
Most likely some cryptic messages sent between Uncle Dale and Panarin's agent through some 3rd party but, it can't be official. |

I like this deal and Vegas can unload AA elsewhere they so choose. But I also think they may want a little more back maybe a prospect, someone who no longer fits our long term plans

Remember Hawks pay AA that 2M bonus on July 1 so more likely traded after that since other teams won't be on the hook. If anything comes
down on draft day, AA won't be included. If he's traded for picks they will be 2020 or beyond picks. |

I’m curious since this is such a weak Defensive draft if Byram’s value is inflated a bit. Has anyone heard where he would be slotted if this were last years draft? I thought I read he would be the 3rd or 4th best Dman if this were last year. He is still my pick at 3 but I really hope supply and demand doesn’t skew the BPA approach... |

I can’t remember where I saw it but he was rated behind Dahlin. |
