As for actually Sabres talk, I haven’t seen anyone mention how next expansion draft should play into trades. I definitely think it is another argument against trading 7OA and could even play into other trades.

This, I am always considering this and agree that we should not trade either 1st because whoever that pick is traded for will also need to be protected. Unless they include someone who otherwise would be protected, ie pick 31 and Nylander.

Holy sh!t you went to the blizzard at Red Rocks for FATM ? WOW that was nuts ! I tried watching that from their live webcam from atop the stadium there, but it was mostly a whiteout with all of the snow. You must have froze to death ! My wife and daughter saw Florence about 9 times now, just recently in Florida last week. I went with them to Chicago in May...my first time seeing her. Life-changing moment for sure. Wife/daughter are contemplating seeing FATM in Greece in September for the last performance of this tour.

I had my snowboarding gear on. Was definitely chilly but the show was so good that you forgot about the cold.

She puts on a great show. Can’t wait to see them again.

If we trade McCabe, I would look to sign Benn and trade for Borowiecki to play LD behind Dahlin. Both are tough stay at home defenseman.

Also, Magnus Pääjärvi on a cheap contract could be a good add for the bottom 6. He is very fast and probably has been misused over his career. Last year he had over 60% Dzone starts and had 11g 8a, none on the PP. Only made 900k last season and Sens said they weren't resigning him.

2 things -

When Botterill has talked about the future, he mentions a lot of names but Risto is not usually among them. Now it is possible that Krueger came and said "whoa, whoa whoa, I want to work with Risto and see what he can do." That would mean that Krueger has the ability to influence personnel decisions though.

The other thing is that if GMs hear he's not available, they probably want him more.

Dude is a bone head on the ice, not really off the ice that I can remember. Why would you not want a proven 30 goal scorer and center at a cap hit of 4.5 mil for the next 3 years?

I get it, he is a bit of a loose cannon but he can play...

So I rarely post anything (about 1-2 times per year) but often lurk in the background trying to get Sabres news (or if I’m in the mood for pages and pages of ROR arguments), but the concert question is one I pose to people all the time.

1st: Cure at Skydome for Disintegration tour

Last: Florence and the Machine a month ago in a snow storm at Red Rocks (greatest concert venue ever). Florence always performs barefoot and in basically a long nightgown but after about 2 songs she had to go off stage for about 10 minutes and came back out in boots and long winter coat. Sounded great and memorable show but late May snow sucks.

Next: my summer shows- Death Cab at Red Rocks next week; Mumford and Son, August; Of Monsters and Men in September (if you have a chance to see them, they have put on great show every time I have seen them) and Vampire Weekend at Red Rocks in Oct.

Best: tough to say, but seeing Radiohead open for REM at Aud was pretty amazing. Saw the Hip in a small bar in Cleveland with about 500-1000 people (super small).

I agree. Risto in the right setting with the right coaching still has super high potential.
Look at Colton Parayko as a comparison. He was terrible on defense, soft, inconsistent on PP, then with a coaching change stud
