Botts gets an "F" for qualifying Girgs. Is Larsson next? Let's bring back the entire squad that finished 25th in the NHL.

- SabreWest

They both may have gotten too many minutes, but who's going to take the 85% Dzone starts that they did? They don't score much, but they did flip the ice quite often resulting in Ozone starts for the top lines.

Lockport Larry and The Latvian Locomotive were good on the 4th line and killing penalties.

It was the Sucking Sobotka that was awful

It’s Wednesday, the NHL has completed like 4 trades. None involving the Sabres, so naturally we should all kill ourselves

Would only be to get his numbers up to move him at the deadline

Spreading scoring over 3 lines is the way to go now-a-days
That means you’ll have good players on “line3”
and a “just ok” guy on line 1 &/or 2
Sheary looked fine with Jack last year when together
And he looked fine when he was top6 in Pitt

It’s not 1975 anymore fellas

How old were you in 1975?

Corey Perry being bought out by the Ducks.

If he comes cheap I’d take him for a year or two.

Ducks save 6 mil on the cap this year but only save 2 mil next year.

It doesn’t even matter if you count Rolston/Nolan

Risto had a defensive first coach in Bylsma- bad results

Housley wanted D men to be active - bad results

But hey, let’s keep spinning the wheel

- OneKaneOneCup

What people INTEND to do and what people ACTUALLY do are two different things.

Bylsma INTENDED to implement a defensive first system, but didn't ACTUALLY teach a young team how to do it. He was ACTUALLY remote and unwilling to communicate with his players.

Housley INTENDED a system with active Dmen, but didn't ACTUALLY teach a young team how to do it. He was ACTUALLY incompetent and over his head with his players.

When a prospect has as much potential as Risto did, I have no problem giving him another chance with a coach who may be a teacher first. I don't know if it will work out, but I think he can be the equivalent of a "buy low" value opportunity.

And only 4 million in the long run. Most buyouts are dumb. This one definitely is.

I’m seeing them both at Warped Tour in Atlantic City next weekend

I was just in AC last weekend and was trying to stay there again next Sunday but I couldn't get a room. Now I know why.

If I had to pick between the two of them straight up?

Girgensons...he's cheaper

If Callahan is coming with someone to improve the roster then Callahan

The '75 sabres had 35 more goals than this year's lightning.

Edit: 5 different sabres had hat tricks that year, Gil had 3 and Rico had 2.

First concert was supposed to be Ozzy, Blizzard of Ozz tour. They were actually coming to this little nothing FL town and my mom was gonna let 12 year old me go. Had my ticket for $15, couldn't (frank)ing wait!...but then guitar hero Randy Rhoads was killed in a plane crash not very long before the concert date 😰.
First concert was Ronnie James Dio at the Spectrum in Philly. Dio!!
The last concert was Incubus in West Palm last summer.
Best concert? IDK, maybe that Dio show, or Maiden's Somewhere In Time tour. Pearl Jam in '98 from 8th row near center at Coral Sky Amphitheater was memorable, they kick ass live. Seeing Live at the little Sunrise Musical Theater was a really cool show. Although a night with Rush is hard to beat, no opener, just Rush.
Next concert, idk. Maiden is coming this summer...

I saw them in Worchester on the Wish tour. Great show and I remember Robert Smith rocking an old school 'CCCP' Soviet hockey sweater on stage.

Jesse Puljujarvi has made it clear to the Edmonton Oilers he wants to be traded. He wants a fresh start to his young NHL career. It’s believed the Oilers are willing to accommodate, but won’t give him away and intend on being patient in finding a right fit.

Nylander for Puljujarvi.... 2 top 8 picks both in need of new homes.

24 Hour Party People is a great flick if you haven't seen it already. Story of Factory Records from Manchester who's 1st signing was Joy Division.
