He's literally won everything...WJC, Mem Cup, World's, Olympics, Stanley. He's won a rocket and a Hart. He's big, can play physical and can help the PP while playing down the lineup 5 v 5. "If" he wants Mtl at that price it's pretty much a no lose
- Takemedrunkimhome

He only played 31 games last year (6 goals, 4 assists) ... he WAS a great player but now he would only be a wasted roster spot.

I would also try Pronger on the first pair with Weber

There's a (very?) small chance Perry could be a good contributor to this Habs team.

I'd rather take that chance and risk losing a Peca on waivers than sticking with players we know won't have a real impact.

What's the worst that could happen? You send him home after 10 games because he sucks and has a lousy attitude?

Exactly.

No reason not to try it.

Unless you guys really want to see Jordan Weal work his magic again?

Have you seen him skating recently ... he's getting slower and slower while the league is getting faster.

He looked like a deer caught in the headlights the last few years.

The guy is so slow he would probably miss the first period walking from the dressing room to the rink.
- Garfield512

Him and Weber might have to dress on the bench..

Really, how many Anaheim games did you watch ?

what if he was slow cause he was hurt and could be better this year, I say it could be a good return for a very low risk.

he never going to be fast, but he just need to be not franking terrible speed wise.

I say you make him race Weber and if Perry wins you offer him a contract

You mean how he sucked and we terminated him quickly?

Having little to no consquences whatsoever?

Perry won’t break his contract to go play in the KHL

Enough to understand why the Ducks are buying back his contract, listen the guy is almost a legend out there but they still feel they have to part ways with him.
Why is that? ... the game is now too fast for him.

Why do people get enamored with "big names" all the time? ... he used to be great but time has caught up with him, the guy is done.

We don't need other team's rejects when we have good young players coming up, I'd rather give them the ice time instead of giving it to a has been.

You do realize Corey Perry isn't in fact Alexander Semin in disguise right?
