Myself and few buddies who played in the QMJHL were talking about this the other night...hockey is a sport that hard work can trump skill.

Smart hard work will trump stupid lazy skill anytime.

Jesse Puljujarvi has made it clear to the Edmonton Oilers he wants to be traded. He wants a fresh start to his young NHL career. It’s believed the Oilers are willing to accommodate, but won’t give him away and intend on being patient in finding a right fit.

Depending on what they're looking for... I would take a chance as a cheap buy low candidate.

Perry is officially getting bought out...

I personally would love to see the Pens pick him up on a cheap one year deal. He can bounce back once healthy and I have said for years that he is the perfect RW for Malkin.

Back to previous posts... trade Kessel and Pens 1st for Turris & Tolvanen (this gives them a chance to sign Duchene). You'd have a tremendously deep roster.

I have to imagine some team signs Perry for $4M or more....

Also... I think that Kessel deal would be a smart one. We save $800k on the cap, get slightly younger, get a solid 3C + and a high upside player not far from the NHL.
