Because it is Toronto and we have to pay extra, or so we have been told for years. Also, other stupid (frank)in GM's overpaid their players to (frank)up the market. - bixll
Ironically that includes Lou who people think is so much better than Dubas. |

What really hurts Toronto is the media. They are being paid-off by our players' agents to report nonsense. Other teams don't deal with that. |

Exactly. Big Jets fan in the office next to me. He is freakin out with these signings. Connor and Laine are going to be very expensive. |

The issue with guys like Nelson, Eberle, Hayes is they are late 20's supporting guys. THAT'S where you screw yourselves. And Leafs big issues are 2 overpaid supporting guys given by Lou (Marleau+Zaitsev). |

I think they are offered certain things by Ferris. When Dreger speaks about offersheets, he' stalking about what Ferris has said. |

I think Montreal is getting better. The French media is more humble and the English media just blows the team. |

Humble? there is no middle ground, just like in Toronto. There is never enough players from Quebec, never enough Francos. If a player is good, he is now a superstar, if he is struggling, he sucks and must be traded. There is a need to find a punching bag...always, they must find points to create controversy, that's what they think their job is. |

I take this to the business side. The object is to win the cup not to keep all your favourite players. If signing him to 11+ (frank)s them up going forward then (frank) it ...trade him for something that makes them better. |

I'm well aware the Rangers sucked, but the fact of the matter is that someone with that much ice time and opportunity will rack up points and increase their value at the TDL despite their team. Someone has to score. You can go down to any poopty team and find a player getting line 1 ice time with numbers that might surprise you. - RickJames77
Put up similiar #'s to Nylander p/60, not playing with Matthews.
Hayes has a good agent I guess. |

Trouba seems pretty happy with the trade to NYR.
Gonna be a steal of a trade for them when he signs long term. |

Once the leagues decides on what the actual salary cap should be, we might even see more movement.
I fully expect Dubas to make several trades after July 2nd. I think its gonna be a quiet draft day and UFA day for the Leafs. |
