It’s not an indictment on the player he is. Because he’s a great player but it’s almost impossible for this contract to become a bargain. Especially because it’s only 5 years long.

In order to be successful you need good guys on bargain contracts. Pasta Bergeron Marchand come to mind. And I hate the bruins

As far as playing hard ball with marner that ship has kinda sailed. The time to play hardball was when we were first overall in the entire nhl and nylander was holding out.
