He's really not injury prone. I could buy that there could be concerns about his groin moving forward after this year, but he's played around 90% of his games over the last 5 years and about 82% over the last three.

But still, I'd never have given him $11.5M. Double-no on the 8 year term.

With the $$$ being thrown about in recent contracts to Skinner, EK, and now Hayes I think ( hope I am wrong ) Trouba will be north of $7.5.

Even if he gets 8, I’m fine with it. We’re young enough with to get through it now and when those guys are due for raises Hank/Shatty/Staal/Smith will all be gone.
