Sounds like the full no move is just the first three seasons. After that its a modified NTC.

Doesn't that protect him through the expansion draft?

I’ve been here a long time. I know that’s your go to when you know you’ve got nothing and need more time to come up with another counter argument.

Any reasonable person who would read your post and know that you aren't looking to actually have a conversation and that your reply was petty and lacked any legit content whatsoever. If you've been here a long time, you'd know that I have no need to participate in replying to a ridiculous post like that. Anyone who has been here for a long time also knows that I'll willingly participate in a hockey debate for days if not weeks.

If you're happy with just getting close and winning a playoff round or two then that's the way to go! I know what way in today's NHL gives a team the best chance over a significant period of time.

It is better than the absolute trash this team has been the last few years under King Hextall.

Holmgren rebuilt the Flyers after the season that shall not be named. In one season. He gave them a stretch of some of the best recent Flyers hockey and some teams that could have won. It’s hard to win. I don’t blame him that they didn’t. He at least gave them a chance.

I didn’t blame Hextall either early on . He did what he had to do. But the last couple of years, he had every bit the core that those teams did and while he had supplemented them with good young players, he needed more help. Two seasons ago he got 65 points from Ghost, 17 goals from Provy, 25 goals from TK, a breakout year from Coots, and a career year from G. They could have made noise that year. He only got them Mrazek.

Then the following offseason, he gave them JVR, but didn’t address the goaltending, didn’t get a vet on D, and didn’t get another center. The key players stopped progressing and the team as a whole struggled. He didn’t fire Hakstol when it was obvious he should. He has no one to blame but himself.

So, assume they go 8 skaters. 4 D and then they have to protect G, Hayes. Have to protect Couturier. Then pick one of Patrick, Konecny, Lindblom.

It is going to hurt losing one of those players after investing in seeing their future on the Flyers :/

Sure it's better and they should be a better team. Again, if that's all you're interested in but I'm looking for more.

Could be fake, but some of these sites look like they are team official. At this point, I don’t see anything confirming this.

I guess if Ghost is traded, they should go 7-3-1.

My assumption for a while now was they wanted to protect Provy, Sanheim, Myers and Ghost. Re-thinking it, I am not expecting Ghost to be here.
