Any reasonable person who would read your post and know that you aren't looking to actually have a conversation and that your reply was petty and lacked any legit content whatsoever. If you've been here a long time, you'd know that I have no need to participate in replying to a ridiculous post like that. Anyone who has been here for a long time also knows that I'll willingly participate in a hockey debate for days if not weeks.

Oh I’m willing to debate this. You said the Flyers aren’t ready. And that they shouldn’t add. I asked you when is a team ready? Is there some quantifiable statistic that states a team is ready? Or is that just your opinion? Because your whole argument about their offseason is based on this ready or not argument. They sure looked pretty ready last offseason. Could have used several big pieces that never came. And thus we got last season.

Then when posters brought up the Blues, you used your crystal ball and said they were further along then the Flyers and that they were ready and so it made sense for them to add. I destroyed that argument yesterday, which you conveniently ignored.

And now again you brought up your whole “when a team is ready argument” and I’m asking when that is? When is a team ready and can they add big time players?

It’s ok, I’ll answer for you. You don’t know. You don’t know if draft and develop works better than spend to the cap and being aggressive. Because for every Los Angeles and Chicago there is an Edmonton and Buffalo. And on the flip side for every aggressive Flyers and Rangers team that traded picks spent to the cap to try and win there was a Penguins and Blues team that spent to the cap and traded picks aggressively that DID win.

So, assume they go 8 skaters. 4 D and then they have to protect G, Hayes. Have to protect Couturier. Then pick one of Patrick, Konecny, Lindblom.

we are 100% going to have to give Seattle something really good to take Hayes or JVR.

and the worst part is, Fletcher will do it.

Kevin Hayes received a full no-move clause for the first three years of his deal with #Flyers - which offers expansion draft protection - and a 12-team limited no-trade clause for the remaining years.

To be fair, Edmonton has only really hit on #1 overall picks, all of their depth picks were pretty trash and for years have had underwhelming management groups that over payed for sub-par players pushing them up against the cap and leaving no flexibility.

Buffalo had Tim Murray driving drunk at the wheel , tanking for high 1st round picks, and trading other cheap assets for short-sighted, incremental improvements that got them nowhere. They are now cap strapped with little flexibility.

I think it would be a more accurate statement the Hexy was more like L.A. and Chicago, where patience was the highest virtue.

Which version are we closer to now with Fletch calling the shots?

Did Fletcher do any actual negotiating or did he just sign off on the list of demands from Hayes’ agent?

Well now it's a terrible contract my God. Without a NMC it's fine but this is ridiculous. We're gonna lose a really good player in the expansion draft
