Trade Marner. JT, Matthews and Marner can’t win the cup by themselves. This team needs better balance and someone has to go, they all want too much money. |

The Canes don't want Mac as a #1 goalie. They will take him as a #2. They are looking at Ned as a #2 next year. The key is Mrazek as a #1 and it doesn't look like they can get him signed. Mac probably doesn't want to sign as a #2 with Ned competing for the spot in training camp. - Barbecued Hockey
That, and I don't think the Canes want to give him much term, something he thinks he can get on the open market. |

Marner is not yet in the "generational category" but the Leafs have put him there
He's never finished top 10 in scoring or won an individual award, and it's arguable if he's the best player on his team. But now he's generational?????? This is the poop that gives leafs fans a bad reputation, the trolls will be piling on saying we're delusional for thinking marner is generational, even though no leafs fan has said that ever |

No thanks, we'll sign Marner instead. You can sign Perry to replace him. Have a great day, and remember the Flyers have won a Cup more recently than the Leafs. |

Marner will get 11 millions a year. Source from player on the team. |

NO...techincally even Mathews isnt a $90M player yet. Marner has shown himself to be Worth of an 8yr/$75M contract. If he continues to develop and produce, he very well may be an $11M/yr player by the end of that contract. Split the difference and that makes him a $10M/yr player at best. this should be palatable risk for both sides. So no...he is not a $90M player |

11 millions?
I'm guessing that source is French Canadian. |

Man. Marners agent is just coming out swinging. Weather it's true or not Kyle Dubas is looking soft. And sometimes you you just need to look like you mean business. Not that he should be angry or put a press release. But he needs to stand his ground and win a contract dispute. Otherwise this is just going to keep happening. Leafs players are just going to threaten to sit out and thinking that Dubas will give them what they want. Dubas needs to channel Teddy Roosevelt. "Speak softly, and carry a big stick." |

If the Kings draft Byram. Marner for Doughty straight up. Kings get younger and Tor gets a 3-4yr window to win cups. |
