Oh I totally understood/and the pick. But ffs.

Going back to Garth's archives, the guy had a multiple (frank)ing orgasm after we drafted kickassian.

Do we really need to say more?

Kassian was supposed to be our answer to Lucic remember?

- Stripes77

Now they play together. It's a fun world we live in.

kassian was a knee jerk reaction pick.. he was supposed to be a tough guy and at the time we just went through the miller getting run softie campaign

I would take a cheap-ish flyer on Perry - $3M or less.

Who knows.

If his knee holds up, he is pretty okay at hockey.

I'll be honest, I liked it. But back then I didn't really dig into prospects too hard.

Vancouver is looking to trade up in front of the Sabres. Detroit at #6 seems most likely according to Easson.

Didn't saying anything of who they are looking at or what they could give up to move there.

I would too.... I picture it a Vanek like signing... maybe chip in 15-23 goals.. another 15-20 assists but is a vet presence out there. Could always flip him at the deadline if needed too.

Guys on BOs typically don't get a lot of term. 1 year, 3M? poop yeah. Get almost a full season, I think you're getting 40 points out of him, and some solid physical play.

Plus a strong leader in the locker room that can help Jack

Not necessarily "3rd pair" as much as limiting his minutes to around 18 and keeping his competition against at most the 2nd line.

But I definitely agree, unless the pick is top 10, do not trade him for pix and prospex

- TheSabresTaco

I don't understand the level of competition conversation that keeps coming up. He does play well against Ovie, Crosby, Kuch. His best games this year were against TB, Wash, Pitts. He was a +2 in 8 games against those 3 teams. He should not play 28 minutes, but he's not a 3rd pairing either.

can we send vlad packing.. we don't need all three
- SabresFaninIndiana

I think the Sabres should waive him. I highly doubt he would report to Rochester.

Agreed. Him and Foligno. They both played in the World Juniors together in Buffalo and were like the bash bros that could also score. Looked like we had our grit for years to come. Those were exciting times.

And if he feels good, he is annoying to play against.

Don't we still have to pay a fail to report? It still is on our cap? Klesla or whatever we got from WSH?

I think the Sabres can void his contact like berglund or “loan” him to a team in Europe. Like we did with kotalik.
